Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
I'm mostly anticipating movepool changes and new Mevos. Those will be what shake up the metagame the most. I'd be surprised if Electivire/Magmortar don't get Mevos. I can't wait for the data miners to get a chance to do their stuff.
Holy hell. A pure steel with filter. Probably with 200+ base Defense to boot.
If Meggron gets an HP boost and Aggron learns recovery move, he might be the best physical tank ever (sorry, Skarmory).
I did not know that.
I thought 'Pokebank' launched with XY, what with the limited free trial offer. There had better be a good reason why Gamefreak opted not to include a cross-generation transfer method on-cartridge.
...(being a children's game) Nintendo no doubt intends to present fairies in a form that is familiar to children. Most of the traits that you seem be looking for in Fairy types already belong to the Ghost type. I don't have any problems with Fairy being the magical cutesie type.

Lombre and Ludicolo are Kappas.
Some of you guys have very broad definitions of what Fairy means. I mean, I don't think I've ever heard of Bigfoot/Sasquatch being classified as a fairy. Not everything that is paranormal/mythological can be classified as a fairy. By that logic Beheeyem should be...
I love Doublade's design, though it is unfortunate that he will not benefit from the near perfect defensive typing he would have had in Gen V. His pink tassels makes him more intimidating and thus appealing to me.
I too would like to know this, as well.
Grass/Fight is weak to fairy too, but I agree it's better than Grass/Dark.
Then again, the Pokemon metagame is about to be shaken up like never before, so who knows? Gen 6's changes are comparable to Gen 2's in sheer magnitude.
Neither Charmander nor Charmeleon learn flying moves. Chimchar learns no fighting moves. This tells us nothing about the typing of their evolutions.
Besides, the leaker explicitly said would be dark typed.
It's be pretty unpopular though, since most people, including myself, hate having a Pokemon frozen. Changing Normal moves to Ice moves is good enough to see competitive use on the proper Pokemon.
