It would definetely be more popular on fat teams, but i think the days where you would see corv in BO/balancey type teams are long gone, even with the ghold ban. If we are being real the problem with defog in this metagame isn't really gholdengo, but the defoggers themselves imo. they just don't offer a whole lot in a meta where role compression is crucial and every mon does so many things, and i don't think we would see a significant rise in defoggers...

In my opinion it's very different when a breaker or sweeper has very different sets that require very different answers, compared to when a "glue" kind of mon does. Using your examples, even if clef can run vastly different sets you can assume that pex will 99% of the time do the job...

I feel like if you show the tera type in team preview you'd also basically give away your set for some mons. As an example, if you know a Gholdengo is tera fight it's pretty safe to assume it's scarfed, since baloon doesnt run focus blast. I'm sure there are other way better examples than this...
