I'd say... do whatever you're comfortable with, but I definitely lean more towards the AP route... Myself, I regret not trying harder in the AP classes I was in (I mean, I got an A, but I think I got a 3 on the English exam cause I was really lazy.. 4-5 is required....) and not taking other AP...
