  1. Sandygast, Palossand Discussion

someone in another topic pointed out the idea of weakness policy as a good combo in doubles, hitting with a weak water attack from an ally to give +2 to def, atk, and sp. atk all in one go. Personally, I like him. Yes, has a special defense weakness, but can be built around, and is one of the...
  2. Pokémon Pyroar

The one niche I can see it having is as a response to ageislash or the ghost-grass mons, since you have chances to switch in and threaten.
  3. Pokémon Pyroar

Eh. Still, it seems like not a great option. Sableye with snarl or knock off still provides you problems. Don't forget leftovers recovery on top of recover. Plus if they really can't damage you, then they will just switch. Remember, arguments based on bad opponents are not useful.
  4. Pokémon Pyroar

Sableye has prankster taunt to negate pyroar taunt.
  5. Pokémon Roserade

Glad to hear! The changes to Hidden power are really something that I rather enjoy, especially as someone that only does stuff on cartridge. Random thoughts: -Is it worth the sacrifice in offensive power for outspeeding excadrill? Probably, but it may end up with spreading Rose too thin...
  6. Pokémon Roserade

There's nothing wrong at all with aroma therapy on roserade if your team needs the cleric support, and your build options are pretty decent as well. Cleric Roserade gives rose a niche that venasaur can't take from it, due to lacking Therapy. Is arguably equal to blissey as well, for several...
  7. Pokémon Banette

I don't recall if anyone tested pain split as a shuppet egg move. Head to banette research thread and see!
  8. Pokémon Banette

That's a good point! And p.force hits through protect, so that is no issue either.
  9. Move Infestation (and trapping moves in general)

ah, thanks, I actually found out about a similar thing in the banette thread. I knew it got infestation, but didn't include it in my original list due to looking at tankier options first. still, might be worth considering.
  10. Pokémon Banette

Very interesting! Do you have problems mega evolving with that set and the lack of priority?
  11. Pokémon Banette

Interesting thought. What is your set with infest? Can you post?
  12. Move Infestation (and trapping moves in general)

Huh. So, here's something annoying. Attempting to sate my curiosity about possibly trapping excadrill, find out that NONE of the trapping moves are on the damage calculator, nor are the items that alter those moves :l. Anyway, currently looking into ghosts that can infest-trap excadrill as a...
  13. Move Infestation (and trapping moves in general)

Those mons have never been trappable. And s for infest itself, the point is that all those moves had their trap damage per turn doubled to 1/8, which is a free stackable poison damage each turn while keeping enemy in. Plus while the move is weaker than others, perfect accuracy and distribution...
  14. Pokémon Roserade

Do what your team needs. Find your weaknesses. Rose has great advantage vs rotom w for example
  15. Pokémon Roserade

the point is that HP fire roserade is the same as as a grass-type with flamethrower. this makes it excellent for hitting the types and mons that normally wall the likes of roserade, letting you turn around and get a kill instead of being forced to switch. To put in perspective: 0 SpA...
  16. Pokémon Roserade

^It's that very reason I chose shadow ball in my original set. Plus, ghost types have gotten a buff, and have become quite popular as a result. This is also good for those not running technician HP Fire for the status-absorbing natural cure set instead, as it still lets you damage the...
  17. Pokémon Banette

^well, on the topic of set-up, while banette does not get swords dance, it does get Snatch, so if you were feeling gutsy or were looking to tighten yourself to a specific counter, you could have destiny bond+snatch instead of taunt and focus banette as a means to completely shut out SD sweepers...
  18. Playing with Genetics: Adamco13's Trade Thread

I would be interested in picking up one of those 5iv rotom. For offer: female yamask calm 31/xx/31/31/31/31 egg moves: -toxic spikes -nasty plot Interested?
