damn... so it doesn't work like sapphire and I would have to catch a shiny on emerald to know my SID? is the TID/SID generated using the seed for R/S? if so, is it not generated by the seed for emerald?

as usual, probably a really rookie question, but I was thinking of getting emerald, and is it as easy to RNG on it as sapphire/ruby? I know the seed is always 0, but can the SID/TID be abused so that I can know from the start what my SID/TID is like in sapphire?

Aww, damn... I was hoping it wouldn't be too bad... Regardless of the difficulty, what are meant exactly by the 'egg held time' and 'egg pickup time'? I figured that if I knew exactly the IV's of both parents and save in front of the person after 254 steps and take the 255th step at the 'egg...

Are there any tips to breeding for a shiny pokemon in sapphire? I have been reading the guides for emerald, but the program in RNG Reporter is fairly different for R/S...

Ok, so I get RNG Reporter to generate data for the H-1 method, looking at it, it seems that only one pokemon will actually be generated shiny on a specific frame? Is that correct? edit: OK, ignore... in answer to my own question: yes it does.

Is RNG-ing shiny wild pokemon using sweet scent the same (in sapphire) as for emerald? is method 2 used (in RNG report)? If so, I have been trying to get this method to work, but I cannot seem to find the pokemon that are appearing in the data RNG reporter gives me... I can only think that I am...

Thanks. I think I managed to figure that out, but I started a new game anyway so that when I get a shiny it has moderately good IV's. Now I have a shiny treecko :P

I am using RNG Reporter 9.95 beta but it doesn't have pandora's box for Gen 3... only 4 and 5... I will be transferring a few pokemon up to gen 4 and giving this a go in a sec...
