  1. strategies for countering trick

That's not half of the problem for me tho. Most of the Pokemon with trick are also flaunting more kickass sets than just that. Metagross, starmie, gengar, rotom-a, etc. all have other sets that are viable.
  2. If there were no metagame...

I'm pretty sure with no metagame, everyone would be running their fav Pokemon. My first competitive team consisted of dragonite, tyranitar, salamence, gengar, gardevoir, and blissey and at that time I thought all of them looked badass and were awesome. Did surprisingly well over Wi-Fi, too.
  3. The Power of Poison!

There are still better uses of that slot. Blissey's only going to be taking a max of like, 60 damage from any sp. atk anyways.
  4. The Power of Poison!

I'll admit it's cool, but I'd much rather go for rhyperior and solid rock if I wanted a defensive juggernaut that could return hits. I've got a huge rhyperior bias tho so, that doesn't mean much. :P I'll admit rotom's more versatile, but he still has no form of recovery and can't wear down...
  5. The Power of Poison!

Tyranitar and the rock type in general has really common weaknesses as is and adding the dark type just boosts it more. You'll only be able to survive two focus blasts from a timid gengar and that requires you to run a +sp. def nature and invest largely into it. I would never dream of using Ttar...
  6. Baton Pass Teams: Why are they looked down upon by the community?

I've seen BP teams work really, really well at times, and others that haven't. Making a GOOD baton pass team is not as easy as people have said here and it usually comes down to who can outpredict the other one best. But like people have said here, it usually just completely takes the fun out...
  7. The Power of Poison!

They all have different uses and work well in different teams. Last I checked, blissey and snorlax didn't resist fighting, gliscor and cress couldn't learn WoW and pain split, and luke didn't resist some of the stuff that toxicroak does. It's a given that most UU Pokemon are less versatile on...
