  1. New and 'creative' moveset/EV spread thread Mk. 5

This set is actually listed in the Absol analysis, but with Psycho Cut over Stone Edge. :P
  2. New and 'creative' moveset/EV spread thread - UU Edition

God, everybody is so critical of sets here. It is the "Creative Moveset Thread" so calm down. :P I think a Mixed Arcanine is very viable. Overheat could deal a lot of damage to a defensive wall like Donphan who can switch into most physical Arcanine pretty easily. Fire Blast over Overheat might...
  3. Moley is amazing.

    Moley is amazing.
  4. New and 'creative' moveset/EV spread thread - UU Edition

I know it's better to use his higher attack, but I'd figure I'd post this since it's the new and creative moveset thread. I think it may rack up a few kills thanks to the suprise factor though. Torrent+Peteya+Stab is nothing to scoff at even though it's coming off a 79 base Special Attack. I'd...
  5. New and 'creative' moveset/EV spread thread - UU Edition

Empoleon uses a Sub/Peteya set, so I figured why not have Ferligatr do the same thing, but just in the UU tiers. Although it's Special Attack is inferior, and it doesn't have nearly the amount of resistances as Empoleon this set is still a viable option. Not only will nobody expect this, but it...
  6. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver - The Offical Competitive Discussion Thread

This sounds great on paper, but you're going to have to predict when to sub or attack against pokemon before you get down to the berry and torrent zone. Since you're so slow pokemon that can break your sub will cause troubles if you don't sub as they break your first sub. Also, what are the 24...
  7. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver - The Offical Competitive Discussion Thread

I know you can get punished for using Roar and Yawn. That's why I said if you pull it off correctly it can do work. It's not amazing, but it's something that was worth mentioning.
  8. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver - The Offical Competitive Discussion Thread

The whole point of Yawn and Roar together is to be able to force tons of switches. You can Yawn, then Roar. If they stay in again they fall asleep and get Roared away. If they do switch you get SR damage on 2 pokemon because of the first switch then the Roar. If you can pull it off correctly it...
  9. Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver - The Offical Competitive Discussion Thread

If you really wanted Yawn and Roar I'd suggest putting SRocks on a different pokemon on your team. Like somebody else said, only one attacking move will really hinder Swampy. Yawn/ Roar/ EQ/ Avalanche seems good to me. :D
  10. Rate my team: OU, Heavy on sweepers.

I would swap out swagger. Also don't run a draco plate. Just smack a life orb on Kingdra. Jolteon as a lead? Like some of the others said, it is easily OHKOed by a ton of leads. If anything slap a focus sash on there if you really want to get the agility up and pass.
  11. my name is nappy. Whats yours?

Never replace Protect with Softboiled. Wishing then Protecting is a good way to recover all while scouting there attacks. Toxic is a good way to kill other walls, so I would keep that there. As for Fthrower vs. Seismic toss, it all depends on what you are having trouble with. On sally I would...
