Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

You need to install raidcall, then search for "pokemon SV". I'm trying to get more people to semi-afk in there so we can ping each other when we need SV checks, or shiny hatches etc. In there doing checks. Just message Tosh the Tyrant or come to the SV checks channel.

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Well we got 2 people with instacheck in raidcall atm + zidane.

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Yay 3 people in there now. I'll have instacheck running if anyone that comes in wants SV's checked.

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Yea I just made the Pokemon SV group in raidcall a few hours ago for easier communicating, but no-one seems to be interested yet. Only me in there :P

Sorry I couldn't be of more help :( Hopefully someone finds a way to make it work for you guys.

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Well the only other thing I can think of to try, is to go to device manager, and under network adapters. Right click your wireless card, and go into its power management. Make sure "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is checked, if not then check it and click ok. Its...

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Yea not sure what else you could do then; like I said, its all trial and error to try and get it to work, since no-one with win7 or vista starter seems to be able to just yet. You can try "netsh wlan show hosted network" to see the status of the network, and if it is allowed. May as well try...

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Well for the sake of just getting this to work first, the one you should share is the ethernet. As for the error, try and enable your wireless card if it isn't (make sure its NOT connected to the internet though. Try and enable your virtual wifi miniport under network adapters in device manager...

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Try and keep the same name and see what happens. The new error has a solution, and it involves typing all the netsh commands on page 1 by pokemon breeder sophie. Oh also try it with your old network still on and connected to the net. Its all trial and error from here. By default its...

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

I believe you're pretty much making a new "home" network, and disable your old one, except this one will support ad-hoc. You want this one to connect to the internet, and be your shared connection. And n sorry, it seems all vista users cant get this to work yet, and I haven't seen any solutions...

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

That's the problem then. I wasn't completely sure why that error occurred but now I think I know. It seems that both Windows 7 Starter and Vista Starter don't support or include ICS (Internet connection sharing services). Upgrading your windows version should fix this and allow you to use...

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Whats your windows version? Is it Windows Vista Starter? Or Win 7 Starter?

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Yea I know signing up to raidcall is the downfall to this, but this assures we can have as many people in the group (up to 100,000) active as we want, and people can go to subchannels for SV checks, PM's, or whatever they want, and this way they know WHO is online at any given time to SV check...

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

So in an effort to get people to check their SV's faster and such, I figured I'd look around and see if there was a Pokemon TeamSpeak server, Raidcall, or Ventrilo. There aren't any, most are text based chatrooms. So, I went ahead and made a Raidcall group solely for checking SV's, getting...

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Yea it worked for me with ethernet disabled, and for one of my commenters with only one wifi card. Choose your wireless card as the shared connection, and connect the 3DS to the hotspot. The connection you "scan" still has to be the wireless connection 2 though (the hotspot). Dunno if your error...

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Someone commented in my video (on the last page) that the instachecker can work with a single wireless card. I have just tested this and it does indeed work with ONLY one wireless card connected to the internet simultaneously. I'll probably make a response video to show this later today.

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Well, you can check this video I made, not sure if you have already though: I'm updating it every day with annotations as more info is found for fixing problems. If you're on Vista though, its likely there is no solution yet.

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Well if you entered the commands in command prompt: "netsh wlan set hostednetwork allow" "netsh wlan start hostednetwork" You then open instacheck, and then go to device manager and check if its there (it should be, which is awkward). If it is, you enable it, and then start a hotspot. If not...

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Try this: - Go to Device Manager - Go to network adapters - Check and see if you have "Microsoft Virtual Miniport Adapter" listed - Enable it if you do - Try and start a hotspot - If it doesn't work, reboot your comp, and then try again. Can't think of anything else to try at the moment. :(

Instacheck Hotspot -- a fast Pokémon checker for XY

Well you could try a few things: - Check your services (search services.msc) and see if Internet connection sharing is started - Make sure your network adapter allows hosted networks; you can check from command prompt: "netsh wlan show drivers" and check if hosted networks is supported. - Make...
