Nope, at least one Pokémon is always following you unless you're in some specific situation that means they can't. No way to disable it :x edit: I just did some testing and it appears Suicune's IVs and nature are indeed set when you battle it in Route 25, not when it escapes from Burned Tower~

Supposedly the same people who gave out stones in Crystal give them out again I never got a Water Stone though, had to do the E4 with a Staryu and get a stone from Bill's grandfather :/

Togetic is held by the bird catcher in Victory Road. First one you see when you go through it from the South entrance~

Leafeon is in the double battle with the Rangers in Route 212 iirc and Gardevoir is held by the Psychic right below you when you enter Victory Road from the South side.
