  1. Announcement np: SS OU Suspect Process, Round 3 - Iron Man

My arguments against your statement would be that the metagame is stale b/c there are too many suspect-worthy threats and only a couple team formulations are viable, NOT because it is lacking melmetal. Adding metal would double down on every team needing rocky helmet ferro, pex, corvi, etc.
  2. Announcement np: SS OU Suspect Process, Round 3 - Iron Man

Not to take away from your post which I like, but have some differing thoughts on the comparison to Vish. While Vish isn't banned (yet) and is not the direct topic of this thread, I'd recommend against comparing anything undergoing a suspect test to Vish, who is arguably the most unhealthy...
  3. Metagame SS OU Metagame Discussion v4 (check out posts #483 and 484 for DLC1 info!)

I'm frankly disappointed by the decision to retest. I don't want to repeat what I've already said in previous pages, but this current meta has so much broken/unhealthy shit in it that severely constricts team building and needs to be addressed (e.g. Kyu, Vish, Zera, King's Rock). Wasting time...
  4. Metagame SS OU Metagame Discussion v4 (check out posts #483 and 484 for DLC1 info!)

Toed > Gastro because in this generation their primary use is so your team doesn't get annihilated by Vish Seismitoed is better in this regard as with a free switch, Toed can get up rocks and/or knock off the switch in. It's the one of the most consistent rockers. Fits on stall, balance, and HO...
  5. Metagame SS OU Metagame Discussion v4 (check out posts #483 and 484 for DLC1 info!)

totally agreed here, especially the teambuilding observation. We would be wasting our time "letting the meta settle". Kyu sucks for the meta, and there are plenty of unhealthy / broken things behind it that need to be attended to. I was hoping for more of a discussion on Kyu in this thread but...
  6. Metagame SS OU Metagame Discussion v4 (check out posts #483 and 484 for DLC1 info!)

Jumping on the Kyurem discussion and reposting a couple thoughts I had in the previous thread right before it was shut and adding a few comments based on responses. Agreed with the above Checks: - Snorlax: no reliable recovery, gets chipped down eventually. best as a curse win-con, which means...
  7. Metagame SS OU Metagame Discussion v3 (Usage in post #251)

I know this is not a place to state [x] is broken or suggest [x] be the next suspect, so I'll reframe my question. What are the best counterstrategies to Kyurem? - As "anti meta" as Snorlax is, he's hard to fit onto a team given it has no reliable recovery and gets chipped down eventually...
  8. Bug Reports v3 [READ ORIGINAL POST before posting]

This is a dumb pest request but can someone take a look at Pyro Ball's accuracy? I wish I could come with official data in the form of replays and etc, but I have just been tallying myself. I use Cinderace on all my teams and started noticing that Pyro Ball just seems to miss more than you...
  9. Metagame SS OU Metagame Discussion v3 (Usage in post #251)

Quarantine has me unfortunately playing more. I want to express how crappy this meta is on the whole and (possibly) banning Arena Trap is only the tip of the iceberg that I feel is needed. There's a host of mons that fall into: unhealthy, busted, or a little bit of both. A list to start with...
  10. Project OU Next Best Thing: Cycle 87 - Not hosted anymore

Magic Powder You can never be too prepared for Heatran, even when he's not even in the game yet
  11. Pokémon Aegislash

This is pretty alarming. Counters: none. Checks: AV Inciniroar, Snorlax, SpDef Pex. Anything else? SpDef Ferrothorn outright loses to Aeglisash. It's slower and can't do much back Centiskorch loses as well, it's slower and is nearly 2HKO'd, no reliable recovery. TBD on how the meta develops but...
  12. Pokémon Aegislash

Does anything in the meta counter or check Specs Aegislash? I just went through the entire OU list and the only answer I can see is AV or HDB Inciniroar
  13. On The Radar Vol. 2 [See Post #336]

I actually think this is a better write up than many pro-ban posts before, so thanks, it does help me get more onboard with quick-banning. I know this "On the radar" thing is kind of a new thing, but if we had just suspected it the same time this thread launched, then we would probably be near...
  14. On The Radar Vol. 2 [See Post #336]

Just made an account to say this, hasn't there been precedent for doing a suspect on multiple mons at the same time? I recall that being done in gen 5 I believe? Why don't we run a suspect test of both Vish and Darm at the same time? And we can speed up the requirements compared to the last one...
