np: SV OU Suspect Process, Round 9 - Let It Go

I have literally had no issues facing down Kyurem. Probably because of the fact that a lot of my teams tend to be more flexible and can handle something like Kyurem. Playing with AND against it allows you to see both sides of the equation, and a lot of people lack that insight.

Let me give you both sets that I used today, and MAYBE you'll see where I am coming from (or just y'know, drag my ass through the dirt still.) Kyurem @ Heavy-Duty Boots Timid Nature | Tera Ground 252 SpAtk / 252 Speed / 4 Def Ice Beam Freeze-Dry Draco Meteor Earth Power Kyurem @ Loaded Dice...

Yet, you still want a Dragon STAB, potential Tera coverage, DD, Sub... That's still six moves in a 4 slot mechanic.

https://www.serebii.net/pokedex-sv/kyurem/ Ice Shard isn't there, I'll give you that one, that's on me misremembering shit. But Outrage is still there, Level 72.

And this is why I don't belong. I gave my two cents but whatever. I listed merely OPTIONS for it to run, based on whatever set it may be using, but hey. What do I know? 19 years, irrelevant.

np: SV OU Suspect Process, Round 9 - Let It Go

I played with SpAtk and PhysAtk Kyurem in every game of mine tonight, and I've come to my own consensus; Kyurem is actually aggressively mid. It has five main limiting factors; Mediocre speed, entry hazard weakness, reliance on support, reliance on items, and a limiting case of 4MSS. I'll go...

Understood. I have to experiment with both. I would've thought that a DD Scale Shot set would've been popular. This is also understood and fair. As someone who winds up running into a lot of sleep spam, I can understand people's frustration with the mechanic as a whole.

I know the sleep discussion is over, but I just read through Finch's post and even though I know I shouldn't say shit, and I've seen people saying I should kms over my own bs, I thought I'd weigh in a little as a low ranked person/cart primary player. I'm a tad surprised to see Sleep wholly...

As someone who owns SV and semi-regularly plays in regular Lv50/Lv100 Link Battles, I can confirm this. The normal 50/all (flat) and Unrestricted formats allow for: -Multiple Pokemon of the same name -Multiple items of the same name -Any and all Pokemon -Multiple Pokemon being put to sleep...

Pardon the unwelcomed person's intrusion, but I have a small topic of debate to bring up; Excadrill vs Iron Treads. Now, I fully expect a good few people to just three liner it, saying Treads is just better and Drill is bad, but hear me out. Both of these mons, even though they won't break into...

Pending Force Secret Sword Keldeo to use Resolute Forme

I'm not 100% sure why this isn't an enforced thing anyway, especially in later gens, but in-game, Keldeo cannot know Secret Sword without being in Resolute Forme from B2W2 and up. On the surface, it seems like a pointless, cosmetic thing, but it actually is a major giveaway if Keldeo is carrying...

So it's just a subjective thing, rather than something the community agrees on? I seriously am just questioning everything I've ever learned in the 19 years of playing this game. :pikuh: :row:

Resource SV OU Simple Questions, Simple Answers Thread

Can someone explain to me how to categorize a team style? I'm seriously doubting if others are actually miscategorizing teams, or if I'm actually a complete moron. I've had someone call this team Bulky Offense, when it's built to be more Hyper Offense (the only Pokemon that are bulky is the...

Unironically I've been off and on using AV Hamurott with the typical sweeper setup (albeit with Flip Turn, Aqua Cutter, and Sacred Sword over Knock, Jet, and Shell.) It puts in a fair bit of work most games.

Tusk's 4MSS isn't something new, at least not to me. I religiously run offense utility Tusk and find myself in the dilemma of "Okay, I have EQ, CC, Spin... Do I carry Knock, Rocks, or Taunt?" Usually I'd take Knock since back then Knock wasn't a TM and very few mons had it. Now I can freely slot...

I'm the opposite, I find myself needing to think or losing to random junk. Especially Tera Steel on a Toxic.

Metagame SV OU Metagame Discussion v3

Okay, that's fair... but I'm looking for the community's reaction to it, since most of the discourse around it is related to hazards and hazard control. Tusk used to be tier king, then Gambit took its spot, but Tusk is still good. Just because Gliscor answers Tusk to such a good degree doesn't...
