NTSC consoles can play both English and French games because of Canada. : ) I have an NTSC French Black as well, but haven't tried to RNG it because RNG Reporter doesn't support French gamecarts yet... And no, I don't press any buttons before then. I usually set my 3DS down after I select White...

No, I don't own an AR. Tried both times, though. Hmm... do the foreign languages approved in the readme only apply to the gamecart? My gamecart is in American English, but both of my DSes are in French. Would that have an effect?

Yes, it's the first thing I do.

I've been using Metalkid+Rare Candies to check my IVs. These are my results when I get a range of IVs from the IV Checker/Minidex: These are my results when I use the exact same Pokemon in Pokecheck and enter its exact IVs: Either way, I get nothing.

Start Pokemon White from the 3DS menu, or Continue from the game's menu? My seconds value has been as soon as I started the game from the 3DS menu, but I just tried it from Continue and that didn't work, either. For that screenshot, I synced the 3DS with the external clock at 15:01:00, turned...

I'm also having problems finding my parameters. At first I thought it was because I was using my old DSLite, which has a sticky R button that might have been stuck down as I started the game, but I got the same results when I switched over to my 3DS. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. My 3DS...

I just caught a random shiny in White. Will this guide (http://www.smogon.com/ingame/rng/deducing_secret_id), including Xact's IVs to PID app, still work for the 5th gen?

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Would anyone mind pointing it out? I'm trying to RNG my first caught Pokemon (Modest Trophy Garden Ditto from Plat). My coin flips are 100% spot-on, I've got the correct date/time, and I've been hitting the correct delay.. but it's not working. The seed I found...

Thanks! I was probably too vague. My problem wasn't that I couldn't hit the desired time/delay, but that I can't seem to calculate Encounter Slots. There isn't an option to calculate Encounter Slots from the Time Finder, and when I copy the seed I got from Time Finder into the main screen of...

Thanks for the help. How does this work with the Time Finder? I've got a seed for the spread I want, so I hit Generate Times, found the seed I wanted, then copy/pasted this to the main window of RNG Reporter so I could use Encounter Slots. However, when I did this, none of the generated spreads...

Quick question about RNG abusing wild Pokemon in DPPt: I know how to get to the target IVs, but how do you ensure that you're capturing the intended Pokemon with Sweet Scent? Do I just get to the correct time/frame/delay and keep resetting until the spread I want lands on a Ditto? I've RNG'd...

How does that work, exactly? Do you export the save file to your computer, do your RNGing from an emulator, then transfer the save back to the cart?

I tried entering 9 for calibrated and 59 for wanted, but then my delay's very low (only around 1000). When I entered this into Other Delay, the timer went to the 90-second range, and I got a delay in the 7000s... After adjusting to the 7000-delay range, the time when Oak stops talking is now...
  14. Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

..what game is that? A delay of 900 is very large for only 15 seconds (I usually get around 14 seconds, and that's only 600 delay). Generally, you don't want to go for anything lower than your average calibrated delay; the game can only load so fast. Try looking for seeds with delays closer to...

For those who have successfully used Pandora to get a specific TID/SID/etc.: what do I plug into the calibrated/wanted seconds in PikaTimer? It takes me an average of 69 seconds to get past Oak's introduction, and the time I'm aiming for is 22:15:59. Does this mean I should put 9 for the...

You enter the desired seed into Seed to Time, then it'll give you a list of dates/frames that will make you start at the seed you want.
  17. Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

For the first question, you'll want to plug a seed from the list into the Seed to Time finder. That'll give you a list of times/frames/delays to get to that seed. Are you using the Time Finder?

Can anyone help me? Sorry, but I'm still confused. I've been looking in the RNG research thread/google/etc. and I can't find anything. Should I just get my starter and try to find what delay I hit from its IVs? How would that even work with such a low-leveled Pokemon?
