  1. Pokémon Avalugg

I have been doing very well with an Avalugg/Reuniclus/Cofagrigus trick room core. The ability of these three to shut down megas is fantastic, although Pinsir has been a surprising nuisance. My Own Tempo curse/recover/avalanche/EQ Avalugg (EV'd and Nature'd for SPD mind you) stalled out a...
  2. Pokémon Avalugg

Trick Room Reuniclus is an incredible ally for a curse set, and can also be used to absorb burn/poison/fighting attacks. Trick Room Reuniclus is so effective at ripping holes in teams, and Avalugg can clean up its garbage well. My set is: Avalugg @ Leftovers 252 HP / 4 ATK / 252 SPD Sassy...
  3. I <3 Sand- An OU Sandstorm Team

I think the Trick Room Reuniclus would suit your team better. Here's why: Suppose Metagross comes out first and weakens a bunch of their pokemon. Now Reuniclus can just play cleanup. Suppose Reuniclus comes out first. If fainted, you could bring in Metagross and fire off high power attacks...
  4. Amoonguss

Seriously nothing stops onslaughts while providing a pivot like this guy does. Clear Smog / Spore / Sub / HP Fire Yes there's no grass attack but I don't use him for that anyway. He stops Conkeldurr, Serperior, and other Stat uppers cold with clear smog, Spores switch-ins, HP Fires if...
  5. Keldeo [available from June 23rd to August 31st]

I just tested Frustration and it does the damage it normally would. This is strange. I would think Keldeo would be so pissed off about having a terrible special movepool that it would have like 800 base. Oh well. Theorymon just failed I guess.

What program does everyone use to see damage outputs? Ie: Weavile 252 Ak Ice shard vs 4/0 Garchomp = # - # I have been doing this a slow way.
  7. Ask a Simple Question, get a Simple Answer

If I use Weavile's new ability (Pickpocket) once Dream World comes out, and I use a Focus Sash, if the Sash breaks will I steal their item immediately? If so a Fake Out/U-Turn/Ice Shard/Pursuit set could be on of the most useful pivots in the game.
  8. Battle Subway

Hello. I hope this is the right place to ask this: I have read in many places that there is an "IV Checker" in the Gear Station of the Battle Subway. I see four trainers, and none of them speak to my Pokemons' IVs. Is it Post Elite 4 or what? I am trying to get good pokemon early for a fun...
  9. Ask a Simple Question, get a Simple Answer

Where is the IV Checker in pokemon B/W? I have been told it is in the Gear Station. Assuming I know what the Gear station is (Junction point of battle subway), there might be something wrong with my game as there are four trainers and none tell me my IV's. Thanks
  10. Tangrowth (Analysis)

Another reason to mention Nature power is that it may not trigger anticipation. I realize this is remarkably irrelevent most of the time, and I haven't tested it. Still, if there is ONE person out there using Toxicroak with anticipation who thinks you won't hit it supereffective they'll be in...

What are the most common leads this generation? (top 20 or whatever) I know this information is available but can't seem to find it.
  12. Hydreigon (Analysis)

Roar works Although I am not going to fool around with EV's I have found this Sazandora set to work very well: Sazandora - Dora the Explorer @ life orb or leftovers - Roar/Dragon Tail - U-turn - Flamethrower - Draco Meteor This set actually helps out stall teams. They switch in their Dora...
  13. Hydreigon

Seriously guys try Roar on this thing. Since Dora can't really set up you come in on something you can scare off, roar, and when the pokemon they didn't want comes out they risk either being roared again (if they switch) or taking a really hard hit from two or three powerful special attacks...

Does Technician affect moves that hit multiple times? For example, if Chillaccino uses Sweep Slap (2-5 hits w/ 25 power each) does technician bonus on all of them, or only apply a bonus if there are less than two hits (ie. base power falls below 60)?
  15. Hydreigon

I've thrown a scout/shuffler set together and it seems pretty viable. Set name: Dora the Explorer Sazandora @ Leftovers/Muscle Belt/Draco Plate/Unsure of what would be better, Lum berry? 252 SpAtk, 252 Spe, 4 Hp Naive -Roar -U-Turn -Dracon Meteor -Flamethrower The premise is to come in on...
  16. Hydreigon

We must call one of these sets [Sazan]Dora the Explorer! I mean, that fits perfectly with its role as a scout. Plus, no one wants to get owned by a reference to an annoying little spanish girl. A U-Turning set would be just as annoying when it isn't bothering you with Draco Meteors. This should...
  17. New and 'creative' moveset/EV spread thread Mk. 5

Taunt, Knockoff AND Destiny Bond!? Why not just use Metagross and kill the Dactyl in two turns? Rocks aren't that big a deal if you have a spinner.
  18. New and 'creative' moveset/EV spread thread Mk. 5

Actually I use the offensive Gyarados. I've yet to see a lead pert carrying Stone Edge OR roar lately, much to my delight. The leads I've met seem to be Surf/Earthquake/Rocks/Avalanche or something. In this case TTar ceases to be a problem. Counter beats TTar most of the time because they're...
  19. New and 'creative' moveset/EV spread thread Mk. 5

I've killed 7 of 9 leads with my Houndoom today. One game I killed 3 poke's while I killed 2 a few others, including a few Heatrans on the switch. Against Aero I've decided to just Fire Blast twice then sucker punch. They ALWAYS stealth rock on turn one since that's aero's purpose, so I can...
  20. New and 'creative' moveset/EV spread thread Mk. 5

Lately I have been experimenting with methods to get Houndoom to become a viable part of the OU metagame and I realized he has a lot of gimmics such as will-o-wisp/sucker-punch/Nasty Plot/pursuit, and a whole bunch of other things that other pokemon seem to do better. I decided that Houndoom is...
