  1. OU Theorymon

What's a good set for snorlax? I was thinking resttalk/facade/earthquake but rest kinda overlaps with toxic orb in protecting from status.
  2. Almost Any Ability XY (Suspect Over: Weavile banned, Keldeo Stays)

This is absolutely pure theorymonning, but weakness policy tyranitar seems interesting. It has the bulk and weaknesses (water, grass, steel, ground, fairy, bug, even fighting sometimes) to switch into to some super effective attacks and the attack and special attack to sweep teams. It has...
  3. Genesect

Yes but ice beam is slashed and won't be on every set so the ev's should be slashed as well because not every set will want those ev's. Of course the sets with ice beam want the 4 spA ev's but sets without ice beam will not.
  4. Genesect

You should slash the ev's on the scarf set: ice beam is the only special attack there and therefore not all sets will want the 4 SpA ev's
  5. Aegislash

And the same goes for a set like iron head (shadow claw)/king's shield/sacred sword/shadow sneak? I just don't see why shadow ball is necessary on the tank set. 10 more power at the cost of much more powerful coverage moves and priority doesn't seem worth it to me. Is it to break physical walls?
  6. Aegislash

Could you have attack investment on the tank set and run another coverage move/shadow claw/SD? You're running 2 attacking moves anyway, and even though you get a less powerful single move more of the moves do more damage.
  7. Other XY OU Viability Ranking Thread (V2) (Last update on post #5189)

I agree that analyses should be linked in this thread.
  8. Other XY OU Viability Ranking Thread (V2) (Last update on post #5189)

I'm not a very prominent ou player and I can't give my input on the rankings themselves, but I do agree that the ranking definitions should be changed. If 99% of teams that wants a pink blob use Chansey (which most people seem to agree on) then that's not as relevant a niche as something could...
  9. Thanks!

    Thanks!
  10. Pokémon Empoleon

Defog is somewhat counterproductive when you already have hazards (especially on my team, where I also have a spiker). I might run scald/toxic/ice beam/protect (or should I run knock off in the last slot?) Thanks a lot.
  11. Pokémon Empoleon

What would you suggest on the specially defensive set if stealth rock is already on your team? (don't say it's not viable; I'm running it in monotype)
  12. Ubers Yveltal (GP 2/2)

Yeah, you guys are right. The EV's should be moved, not the nature.
  13. Ubers Yveltal (GP 2/2)

For choice scarf set, you have 4 EV's in attack but a nature that reduces attack. Nature should be rash or mild.
  14. Bug Reports v2.0 (READ OP BEFORE POSTING!!)

Ok I think I got it. I gave the pre-mega-evolution mewtwo the ability contrary, and then when it switch to mega, contrary was overwritten. The problem here is that the ability was still listed as contrary.
  15. Bug Reports v2.0 (READ OP BEFORE POSTING!!)

So... this mega mewtwo x had contrary, but v-create and superpower lowered its stats normally. I also gave the same mewtwo parental bond (it was mega-y then) and that didn't work either. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/hackmons-104140950
