Bluffing is very risky. It's not something I count on all the time, though if you pull it off right then there's a chance to win.

I always look at the types first then make different cuts or adjustments around the main pokemon in the team. The main pokemon is usually one of my favorites then I look at its weaknesses and try to make a very diverse team.

I usually just pick up whatever pokemon I find. Then I take my time training to make sure they are at a higher level than the next gym leader. I feel there's no point in ev training them or looking for a specific nature. They're games and the whole point of it is to have fun with them.
