if you can paralyze it itll die to a few hits whether you paralyze or sleep dependa on a lot. also you can use dugtrio/golem/tangela to mostly wall it (and spread atatus in tangela's case). victreebell also can work but if its running psychic might hurt a bit

...do I do with the bAHstard?! What is the usual algorithm? Paralyse it to make it slower than my attackers? Or is it worth to Hypnosis it?
