Nidoking is just to slow and frail for it do any sweeping, it needs to be passed some speed or its just to easy to kill and sheer force doesn't boost it's SpA just the base power of it's moves.

There are plenty of Pokemon that use Choiced fighting moves and like i said he can also come in on resistances which he has alot of. I mean come on the most used pokemon right now (Scizor) most popular set runs a Choiced fighting move along with 6 other Pokemon i can think of right now in OU...

Yes it is still very good at taking down dragons but it can't sweep that well/easy because it gets very low BP moves if you need something to take down dragons go for Mamoswine.
