Still, it forces a switch, into (probably) a Stealth Rock, and then you can always use something that works on most things (aka Super Fang <- Bologo's tactic).

Bologo, which is better, in your opinion- Charge Beam Simple Bibarel, or Salac Swords Dance Passed Simple Bibarel? (SSDPSB) I was thinking of making an Absol pass Bibarel a Swords Dance & a Salac boost... I'm very inexperienced at battling, so conceptually, would this work out?

No, it would not be +12, he still caps at 6 like everyone else. So, you'd only need to pass him 3 DDs. I mean, I guess I could be wrong, but I'm almost positive that Simple does not allow Bibarel to pass the stat boost cap. Essentially, after two NPs, it'd say "His Sp. Atk. can't go higher".

Well, I like the surprise element that comes with being swept by Bibarel, rather than just having it wall some attacks... -_- Anywho... it seems that general consensus puts Atk Bibarel higher than Sp. Atk Bibarel... So I guess I'll make mine Atk with Return/Waterfall/Shadow Ball/Superpower(or...

Because I can use Charge Beam and max out his Sp. Atk with only one boost from then. Plus, I am just speculating on the possibility that one could use Bibarel as a team centerpiece. It's very novelty, but I think it could also end up semi-functional.

I'm pretty sure that Simple's double effect is on the "amount of moves used" i.e. one NP is two NPs w/ simple (which is only a x3 bonus), instead of x2 bonus doubled to make x4... ^ I'm sorry if this post is unintelligible... I'm pretty tired and it's late, so yeah.
