  1. Type Remix! (Currently Testing Kanto Pokemon)

I see. The way you phrased it made me think it was just one. Thanks for clearing that up. Why not all of the above? We could give each type some attacks plus 1 utility move, so that the more defensive 'mons that can't take advantage of their new STAB moves still get something. Things like...
  2. Type Remix! (Currently Testing Kanto Pokemon)

I feel like if we are changing types and expanding movepools, it would make sense to give the 'mons all of the STAB moves that are learned by just about all other 'mons of that same type in the regular game. Or in other words, since about all Dragon types learn Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor...
  3. Type Remix! (Currently Testing Kanto Pokemon)

Any idea's when the new randomized typings will come out? Edit: The first wave is out, so I'll start leaving some of the typings that catch my eye here. Clefable: Steel/Poison Alakazam: Water/Dragon Cloyster: Fire/Grass (Already have a set in mind. Shell Smash, Bullet Seed, Fire Blast/Flare...
  4. Gen-NEXT development thread

Earlier in the thread it was suggested to make Shedinja immune to passive damage, so that it could actually live long enough to perhaps make using it worth while. What if instead we made it immune to hazards, but still open to other sorts of passive damage? That would allow it to get safely on...
  5. Type Remix! (Currently Testing Kanto Pokemon)

Anyway, this sounds cool. I look forward to hearing more about it. What are you going to do about 'mons that after their typing change have their abilities become redundant or unusable? (ie a Levitator becomes Flying type, or a Poison Heal 'mon becomes Poison or Steel type, making it impossible...
  6. Gen V SKY BATTLES: KACAW

I agree with Heroes and Cons and Spork. Until we know for sure whether or not some Flying types or Levitators won't be allowed in X and Y Sky Battles, then we should assume that they all are going to be allowed, (yes, even Dodrio). I find that it's often better to keep the rule set for an OM as...

  8. Gen 1 Pokemon Showdown has a Gen 1 playable now!

Good enough reasons for me. I'll shut up and go away now.
  9. Gen 1 Pokemon Showdown has a Gen 1 playable now!

Darn. Is there any reason why we are using the more bugged mechanics, instead of the patched set of mechanics?
  10. TechniciMons - XY Edition

Seems reasonable to me. What about Revenge and Avalanche? (60 BP normally, 120 if damaged by a foe in the same turn, -4 Priority)
  11. Gen 1 Pokemon Showdown has a Gen 1 playable now!

Are the ladder mechanics meant to be based on RBY or on Stadium? (I ask because there are some glitches that existed in RBY that were fixed in Stadium, such as Focus Energy not raising the users critical hit rate, for example.)
  12. Bug Reports v2.0 (READ OP BEFORE POSTING!!)

Or, to be more accurate, it was a bug in Gen 1 that has been accurately recreated on the ladder. Thank you for telling me, now I no longer feel guilty for not surrendering.
  13. Bug Reports v2.0 (READ OP BEFORE POSTING!!)

I was playing a match on the Gen 1 OU ladder where my Golem didn't faint after using Explosion, and destroying a foe's substitute.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner, Smogon being down + Graduating from High School prevented me from doing so. Anyway, I'm ready to battle whenever. My PS! alt is Goodfellow, so if you spot me there, feel free to challenge me.
  15. Balanced Hackmons Minitour - Round 1 [See post #49]

In. How soon can these start?
  16. The Color Change Metagame

Kyurem-B is in OU because of it's awful movepool, not because of it's beastly stats. Slaking and Regigigas don't have the same problems. Their much wider movepools, which include things like the E-Punches, Sucker Punch, etc. would serve them extremely well in this meta, if they weren't banned...
  17. Pokéroulette

It seems like Quagsire has loads of potential here. Good defensive/offensive typing + Unaware + good movepool. It could try to stall opponent's sweepers that lacked Grass coverage, or it could use Curse to set up it's own sweep, while brushing off their unboosted attacks. While Baton Pass...
