  1. Pokémon Dragonite

The thing is, Dnite running the wrap trapping set shouldn't be left out in front of a set up mon. Of course it is easy to stall, but if your opponent stays in planning on taking you down with anything else, you can go to town. It is very situational, but it is also a lot of fun.
  2. Other Shiny new toys

That's not how you stack boosts. You're increasing Tyranitar's Special Defense directly, not the base stat. And even then, following your logic, it'd be 100 SpD x 1.5 Sandstorm x 1.5 Assault Vest = 225 SpD, which it isn't mind you: Shuckle's Base SpD is 230, which translates to 496 uninvested...
  3. Pokémon Sylveon

The thing is, if Sylveon would ever plan on running an offensive set (it shouldn't), given the lack of coverage moce it gets Hyper Beam is a gimmicky possibility. Sylveon is way better off Calm Minding and Wish passing, though. That much I agree.
  4. Move Infestation (and trapping moves in general)

Posted this in the Dragonite thread. Dragonite @ Soft Sand (I had no lefties) 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD Careful Nature (+SpD / -SpA) Wrap Toxic Roost Earthquake It's so good it's almost unbelievable. It's won me three games all by itself, tanking Moonblasts from Florges. It's so much fun to use!
  5. Pokémon Sylveon

I agree that there might be other moves stronger than Sylveon's Pixilated Hyper Beam, but still. It is a convenient move to remove a counter if you feel Sylveon's done its job. Of course, it is the most gimmicky thing Sylveon has going for itself, but the sheer power of the move should be enough...
  6. [WIP] Tentacruel someone please take over

Liquid Ooze forces out users of Leech Seed, and gives a nasty surprise to Drain Punch and Giga Drain users. Given that Tentacruel is mostly used as a defensive Poke and that there are not many moves out there that lower his defensive stats or special attack, Liquid Ooze could be actually very...
  7. [QC Ready 2/3] Sylveon

I know for a fact that Pixilate gives a 30% boost to Normal moves after turning them to Fairy, but I don't think Pixilate boosts all fairy type moves. So unless you are running a normal move to retype, Cute Charm would be the better option.

  10. Other Good Cores

I thought you were wrong, Kingdra has only one weakness and then... and then I got a little sad. This is a great core though. The best seter of Rain Dance is without a doubt Kingdra and it can comfortably sponge Fire attacks while reducing Scizor's weakness to Fire. Oh man, it'll be just like...
  11. Pokémon Dragonite

Just went to random battles with this set, it's pure gold: Dragonite @ Soft Sand (I had no lefties) 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD Careful Nature (+SpD / -SpA) Wrap Toxic Roost Earthquake It's so good it's almost unbelievable. It's won me three games all by itself, tanking Moonblasts from Florges...

Man, could you add me for FC? I really need the Ditto safari. I have Noibat, Fraxure and Sliggo. My FC is 4184-2520-3592. Thanks in advance.
  13. Sticky Have a question? Ask it here! (NOT SM QUESTIONS)

Thank you. I was scared that I might have to reset like 20 Pokemon.
  14. Sticky Have a question? Ask it here! (NOT SM QUESTIONS)

Are stats maxed at 252 or 255 this gen? If I am EV training with Pokerus/Power items, will I have to account for the fact that I might overshoot the stats?
  15. Pokémon Talonflame

Talonflame should be manageable by the OU meta. In any case, I like it being around if just to destroy the viability of M-Blaziken and Scolipede, which would be a pain to take down otherwise. Heatran walls it too death, any Rock type can manage it decently, recoil kills it and it's weak to SR...
  16. Pokémon Hawlucha

It's good for wallbreaking, I guess, but it leaves you unable to Baton Pass or carry a coverage move. I can see it having its own specific viability though,
  17. Other Poll: Steel - Nerfed or Buffed?

Guys, a Rhydon used Thrash on my Galvantula in Battle Maison. I immediately switched to my Aegislash to save my Galvantula and the message saying that Thrash had no effect poped up. Next turn I use Swords Dance while the Rhydon gets me with Drill Run. This means that locking yourself into a move...
  18. Move Magnetic Flux

I swear, one of these days when I'm not swamped with schoolwork we are going to have a triple battle 6 vs 6 using only Plus and Minus Pokemon. It will be glorious.
  19. Move Magnetic Flux

I have basically zero doubles experience, though. Who would you say are the best abusers? Magnezone, Klinklang, Ampharos and Manectric. Magnezone likes the boost, though it is deathly afraid of Ground moves. If it carries a balloon it misses both offensive and defensive presence. Besides...
  20. Pokémon Breloom

Guys, any Pokemon that did not receive a massive change should be discussed here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/old-mon-general-discussion.3490455/page-9#post-4925803 Yes, Breloom has new things coming up for it, but mods are trying to keep the threads to discuss type changed Pokemon...
