A Modest nature with 252 HP/180 SpA/76 Spe has the same speed stat but hits 375 SpA instead of 357.

    Project Victim of the Week

That EV/Nature combination can be improved. With Adamant nature and 252 EVs in Defense and none in Attack, Tangrowth's Attack is 259 and Defense is 349. With an Impish nature, Tangrowth only needs 128 EVs to reach 349 Defense, which leaves 128 EVs to put in Attack, which gives it 268 Attack.

    Pokémon Pinsir

Feint isn't used in singles to break Protect, it's used because it has higher priority than Quick Attack, which allows Pinsir to sometimes beat priority users like Talonflame in exchange for about 30% less power.

Xerneas having Aromatherapy wasn't the silly part of that battle, using it without any status conditions was.

Metagame NP: RU Stage -1: Message to Oglemi, Nails, and Honko (VENOMOTH STOLEN FROM US))

Why would you use Harvest over Chlorophyll? Chlorophyll at least has the potential to be useful.

Baton Pass - its role in the metagame and possible solutions to nerf full Baton Pass chains

Except Quagsire gets stomped by Stored Power Espeon, which is on every BP chain team, after a few boosts that are ridiculously easy to obtain.

Other XY OU Viability Ranking Thread (V2) (Last update on post #5189)

He's one of the best Dragon Dancers, with good bulk, coverage, and Mold Breaker, which allows him to destroy Unaware users and Rotom-W. Water/Dark isn't a great typing by itself, but the fact that he can switch from Water/Flying to Water/Dark makes countering him really hard.

Bite is M-Gyara's best Dark STAB. It's not the best option, but it has some validity. The flinch chance is pretty decent.

Oh my god, that's just ridiculous. I have a couple to share. This would be better if it was longer, but there's a decent amount of cringeworthy decisions. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-99485831 This is just bad. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-99486877

The typing change helps it a lot, but it still wouldn't be OU. Maybe it would've made RU this gen w/o mega.
