Creative sets in the BH metagame. BAD GIMMICKS ARE NOT PERMITTED.

Hello! Haven't got anything to post right now but I am working on a new team and I will be undoubtedly trying out some silly things that may/may not work and I'll post again here if they do work. By the way, for that Regigigas in the OP - how about Trick instead of Knock-Off?

    Gen V Balanced Hackmons

I've been messing around with a Trick Room team - considering nearly every Poke in the tier is going to have maxed out speed, you should be able to "outslow" with even some of the faster sweepers. Has anyone else tried this so far, or is the strategy too gimmicky with too much setup?

I certainly won't outright trash the set, but it must be said that any good team will have counters to it, like Unaware 'mons and Pranksters (although this depends a little on the item that you are holding). I can't deny its simplicity and brutal efficiency should you remove these counters from...

How viable are weatherless teams, currently? I kind of dislike having to waste a slot on my team purely for a weather setter when I could have something like a second Magic Bounce, Prankster or whatever.

Interesting, although I think you should probably have Substitute on there somewhere. I have a similar Dialga set that looks like this: Dialga @ Lum Berry EVs: Max everything, Jolly Nature Ability: Sand Rush -Tail Glow -Substitute -Milk Drink -Dragon Pulse Mine is very much a late game...

Looks like my old Sand Team is still doing pretty well at the bottom of the ladder. Shuckle is just too fun.

    Gen V Balanced Hackmons

Games are so long mainly because every Pokemon has access to instant reliable recovery, and nearly all Pokemon benefit from it. Obviously this means that if you don't 2HKO the target, they may be able to simply ignore you and heal back up. Also, I've seen a few Wish Giratinas which are obviously...

I wish Gastro Acid worked on Magic Bounce. Then again, that would probably make the ability far less useful, especially against Pranksters.

Have fun getting that off switching in.

    Balanced Hackmons Viability Rankings Thread

You have Unaware wall on there, but have you considered bulky Unaware sweeper? I'd like to nominate it for RankA/B - I'll leave the discretion on that to the OP. @ Lum Berry Trait: Unaware - Quiver Dance - Cotton Guard - Dragon Pulse/Ice Beam - Recover/any equivalent Users: Arceus is the best...

Scrappy Rapid Spin really is not all that good. It is in no way ban-worthy, and your team is kinda bad if you find that it screws you over. The best Rapid Spin Pokés are any that can put a big dent in Giratina, such as Dialga with Draco Meteor, Dragon Tail, Rapid Spin and filler. There's no need...

Another gimmicky Theory-mon that, with correct prediction, can easily score you a quick and easy KO. Deoxys-A @ Focus Sash Trait: Prankster - Guard Split - Extremespeed/Me First - Ice Shard/Pursuit - Psycho Boost/Pursuit This set aims to deal with Slaking or any bulky support Pokemon...

    Gen V Balanced Hackmons

Haven't posted on here in a while, but one interesting Theorymon I've just come up with is a Deoxys-S lead with Trace. Deoxys-S @ Lum Berry Trait: Trace Jolly Nature 248 Speed EVs - Spore - Taunt/Baton Pass - Magic Coat - Stealth Rock/Baton Pass What is the purpose of this, you ask? Well, with...

A testament to the power of hazards. Missclicked on my Shuckle. Meant to go for Whirlwind and not Leech Seed. EDIT: Really? No auto-merge double posts?

    Gen V Balanced Hackmons

Sheddinja is a terrible Pokemon for the tier, in my experience. Every game I play is won with hazards - they barely ever leave the field when you predict and spinblock correctly. Then again, I've faced some pretty nasty anti spin-blockers. I won't reveal the sets though, because I want to use...

    Gen V Balanced Hackmons

Has anyone tried dedicated Trick Room or Gravity teams? Seems like it'd be far easier to construct a team for one or the other seeing as the moves are no longer limited purely to the Pokes who naturally get them. I feel like a defensive Gravity team could do very well with three layers of spikes...

I meant Judgment with a Spooky Plate and a Ghost-type/Multitype Poke. With Judgment and Aura Sphere, you get neutral coverage on everything not named Shedinja, and when an Imposter Poke switches in, they have nothing to hit you with. My Gengar set for example is Skill Swap (swap them Normalize...

    Gen V Balanced Hackmons

Thanks for the advice - I've actually mixed around things a lot though, and I've been experimenting with some weird stuff, including the ridiculous Assist Prankster Kyurem-B team. However, I wanted to come up with a sweeper that had an answer to pretty much anything the opponent could do to stop...

    Gen V Balanced Hackmons

I literally made an account just so I could post here. I absolutely love this tier! You'd think it would be less diverse than the others, but in reality any Poke can run any set - even Shedinja, the most one-dimensional Pokemon ever, it seems, has some variety. Here's my current...
