Map of lumiose from the demo. Looks fairly small? My biggest worry is still how interesting exploration/the map is gonna be. Everything else from the demo looks great though, the battle system seems really fun and engaging.

I don’t think they’ll let something like that get in the way of their ideas. Ultimately if they want to make regional forms for the starters, they’ll come up with some lore reason to explain it. Totodile and the rest aren’t native to Kalos anyway, so no reason they can’t have forms.

If anything, the fact that they removed Ash Greninja from the games and retconned its existence out of the anime points towards them going forward with Mega Greninja now. It’s insanely popular and I’d be surprised if they missed this chance to market the hell out of it.
