    I don't think it should be banned. The strategy isn't as OP as people are making it sound, and it DOES have lots of counterplay. Namely Taunt, and Substituting, and Magic Coating. As long as you have any relevant taunter, substituter, magic coater, or any PHYSICAL WALL with sustain on your team...
