    I am also running with a laptop(no ethernet, just wireless) and I got instacheck to run but my 3DS cant find it. I've done the "netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode =allow. I'm running on Windows 8. Any ideas to what is the problem?

    oh well i give up on instacheck lol. I'll just ask someone to do it for me when i need it i guess.

    It worked before, but the drop down menu near start scanning was blank. I found a way to fix the problem and now my 3DS wont connect. Im using a laptop btw so I don't need a wireless card.
