I managed yesterday to start a Hotspot while I was connected to a Wifi network, but both connection got really unstable, the connection test on the 3DS was successful, but I couldn't connect to the internet ingame, and loading web pages on the laptop was also really slow, so I don't recommend it.

Normaly you can list the clients of your router in the web interface (enter the gateway address as an url into your browser) PS: good night ^^

that's strange :/ The error: "not in the correct state" or so, would normaly say, that your wifi devices is already used, what error do you get, if you try to start a hotspot, when you are not connected to a wifi network?

You are not allowed to be connected to a network over wifi (which you are), if you want to start a hotspot, at least, as far as I know, it's not possible to use 1 antenna for 2 different things. I think thats your problem. I should show "Not connected" on your Wireless Network Connection

If you could give me time till Sunday or so, I could rework my program, so it is able to restart the hotspot via button press, and maybe also doing the sharing internet connection automatically (if possible). And I could clean up the GUI (just the first one, not the actual InstaCheck)

You could say that, we have that in school (I think this was the first time I somehow "needed" this knowledge xD ) How many wifi devices and networks do you have? Maybe there is an interference, but I doubt that would prevent you from reconnecting :/

I think it would be possible on mobile devices, if they create a hotspot, and use 2G/3G/4G as internet connectivity, but I'm not sure if you are allowed to view all the packets that are received over the hotspot. btw, my modified InstaCheck creates the hotspot over netsh wlan :)

Theoretically yes, but you would need a real router, where every port has it's own network. Then you would connect your PC twice to the router, so you would have 2 different IP addresses on different networks. Then you have to configure the router, that it transmits all the wifi data to one of...

Windows doesn't start an DHCP server on the new connection, so you have to set the IP Address manually, it's also possible if Windows won't let you share the connection, that you have to set the IP Address of the connection manually (IP Address has to be the same as Gateway) I'll make some pics...

Ok, I'm working on the problem with virtual router right now, that is causing the problem that the program won't run. The second one, on Win Vista/7 it seems it must be mode=allowed , on Win 8(.1) it's just mode=allow

I will try to completely remove the Virtual Router (atm it is just not used), maybe this is causing the Problem. I hope it will work then :)

Do you have .NET framework installed? And what OS do you use?
