But the point still stands that mega gengar WILL be worn down by all the passive damage until it can be taken out with a relatively weak move..like gyro ball from ferro. While reuniclus Cannot be touched by anything a stall team has.

Hello? Reuniclus with RELIABLE recovery, good bulk, magic guard and calm mind can set up on almost anything a stall team has without fear. It doesn't need to trap something to make it useful. Instead of trapping the ferro, why not use it as set up fodder and sweep? Even phasers don't really work...

Reuniclus and gengar have similar damage outputs when u factor life orb. So that is out of the question for this arguement. Reuniclus also has higher bulk than mega gengar AND takes no passive damage. Against a stall team this is huge. Gengar takes spikes, rocks and possible weather damage +...

Yes but if gengar is running the perish trap ate he is restricted to JUST that and is now countered by many other pokemon
  8. Gengarite Tiering Discussion [read post #383]

Priority already ready rules the meta game you aren't just running it to stop mega gengar..also a choice scarfer isn't on your team JUST to stop mega gengar.. Choice scarfers are on most quality teams. Basically, you aren't running priority or faster pokemon just for Mega gengar; he just happens...
  9. Gengarite Tiering Discussion [read post #383]

In a metagame full of incredibly strong priority, items such as assault vest, eviolite, etc., Special defensive monsters such as chansey and goodra, and not to mention faster threats that can OHKO mega gengar such as mega alakazam, and many choice scarfers, i don't see how Mega Gengar can get...
