    I don't know exactly how it works, but I've tried without WinPCap and it didn't work. And also, downloading WinPCap seemed to solve the problem for a lot of people.

    It depends on the computer you're using. if you're using a desktop that can't use a wireless connection, then I assume that would work. If you have a laptop, it should work as long as you have a wireless card. Unfortunately, I can't confirm that a USB Wireless Adapter would work considering that...
