Why couldn't he simply Thunder Wave, then Volt Switch? Pain Split (from my experience) isn't the most used move on Rotom-W, and it should leave Rotom with more health in the long run.

What about possible set ups that use Stealth Rock and Spikes? This is completely viable. If you can take a couple hits you can guarantee significant damage on any switch in with both hazards up.

I agree with Colonel. Swords Dance can occasionally be hard to set up, especially with weaknesses to 3 very common types (one of them being 4x effective). The only decent move set that keeps it alive for a decent amount of time is Sub-punch, but that can't compete to a Conkeldurr Iron Fist +...
