  2. Pokemon Scarlet & Violet - 18th Nov 2022! **OFFICIAL INFO ONLY**

That's ice Colossoal. Ice resists water in this gen. Crazy
  3. Data Usage-Based Tier Update for July 2022 (August @ #39) (September @ #58)

I'm sorry if this question is dumb, worms ate all the wrinkles out of my brain and now it is all small and smooth. Is there a list of every forme that is tiered separately somewhere? I know the Gourgeists are together and the Rotoms are separate, but I'm working on a project and would like not...
  4. Rejected Bigger, thicker text that's easier to read at low YouTube resolution

It's not the size of the text. It's the indistinctness that happens when it gets compressed. Outlining the text would fix the problem.
  5. Rejected Bigger, thicker text that's easier to read at low YouTube resolution

Those numbers would absolutely be legible if they were in a bigger font size, possibly outlined like an image macro if necessary. All it would require is an update to the style tags around a couple specific places where important text occurs.
  6. Rejected Bigger, thicker text that's easier to read at low YouTube resolution

I watch videos of Pokemon Showdown almost as much as I play the game. But I have bad internet, so a lot of the time I can't watch YouTube past 144p. Then I can't read what's going on because the text is 1px thick. Here's a question: in this screenshot, how much damage did the Earthquake do on...
  7. Renaming of the Tier Borderlines

BL does stand for banlist. These names are so much better than the old ones, since they describe what each of the lists is. UUBL is UU's BL. RUBL is RU's BL. NUBL is NU's BL. It's much more intuitive and memorable. EDIT: The name scheme extends naturally to the banlists of other tiers. You...
  8. Bug Reports v2.0 (READ OP BEFORE POSTING!!)

I found that navigating to https://play.pokemonshowdown.com helped; updating the links on the homepage from http:// to https:// would be helpful to other people who may have this problem?

  10. Follow The Leader [Pre Viability Ranking Discussion!]

Oh cool, as long as we're being consistent with the leaders and followers (I say, having never played this meta)
  11. Follow The Leader [Pre Viability Ranking Discussion!]

Should we require move and ability compatibilities on the leader, since we're giving 5 pokemon completely new moves and abilities?
  12. puppies itt

    lol
  13. Zero Sum Meta

I'm worried the whole game will boil down to a bunch of sturdy level 1 pokemon or things with focus sashes getting out a stage hazard and then sweeping by almost dying and full-healing off a pain split over and over again. Like, here: Pineco @ Berry Juice Ability: Sturdy Level: 1 Lonely...
  14. Zero Sum Meta

pain split: Rotom uses pain split on Kyogre if Rotom has less HP than Kyogre: Rotom's gain numerator is (Kyogre's Current HP - Rotom's Current HP) / 2 Rotom's gain percent is Rotom's gain numerator / Rotom's Max HP Kyogre's loss numerator is Rotom's gain numerator Kyogre's loss percent is...
  15. Zero Sum Meta

Yeah, any damage that the game deals just results in a heal for the pokemon that dealt it, and vice versa. So if my 160 HP pokemon uses Giga Drain on your 400 HP pokemon and deals 80 damage (20%), your pokemon loses 80 HP from the damage, I naturally heal 40 HP (25%) from the giga drain damage...
  16. Zero Sum Meta

I would imagine where it says the percent of HP they lost, the game would try to convert that to an integer and give you back that many HP. So if my Gyarados uses dragon rage against your Chansey, which loses, like, 7.5% of her HP or whatever, the game would give me back 7.5% of like 300 or...
  17. Partners in Crime

Whoa, that means that as long as your weather setter is out, you can refresh the weather by switching to any Pokemon. I'm pretty sure rain stall is going to be very good, with everyone getting Drizzle, Rain Dish, Hydration, and Aqua Ring, and there being good Regenerator mons everywhere Here...
  18. Binary Battles

Does weather affect both battles? If so, it'd be a great way to disrupt the flow of battle.
  19. Binary Battles

I bet trapping and phasing are going to be pretty good, since I think team composition is going to be pretty important. OU bans and clauses?
  20. Binary Battles

EDIT: Oh, I get it, you're doing a doubles battle, but the pokemon aren't on different slots of the same battlefield, they're kind of in different rooms and can only interact with one of your opponent's two pokemon. Can your two pokemon interact?
