Ever heard of suicide leads? After it dies, you can bring a pokemon to handle the opposing one.

Double edge aerodactyl is viable with sash. They attack you, and bring you down to your sash. Next turn, you use double edge so you kill yourself if the opposing pokemon had defog/raid spin. If not, use another attacking move.

Pokemon you listed like Leavannu and Dusclops aren't really silly. Some people use them because they are their favorite pokemon, or they're trying different things than the normal meta. There is nothing silly about bringing a non ou pokemon unless it's like a level 36 turtwig.

Swords Dance Jumpluff, Special Dragonite, and Physical Empoleon are actually viable.

Metagross doesn't need a psychic stab.

Signature moves don't mean one if a kind, they mean that the move was sort of made for the pokemon (to an extent). With your logic, there are no signature moves, because smeargle can get them all.

How is the battle silly besides the fact that you hit every single stone edge? ( I wish I had that kind of luck.)
