Dude says Mike D'Antoni didn't ask him to play when they had a roster of what 7 people? Bullshit. Good job, Steph. Don't step up when the team needs you.
  2. So, what have you read recently?

Freakonomics is pretty sweet. Read it a year or so back. They also blog online too, so you can check that out. Kite Runner was good, so was A Thousand Splendid Suns. The Last Lecture was amazing. It was written by a Professor at Carnegie Mellon who had terminal illness and recently passed away.

Holy Crap! Crawford, Randolph, and Collins for Mobley, Harrington, and Tim Thomas. This is to free up the salary cap to try to get Lebron in 2010. Not a bad move considering Cat Mobely, Al Harrington, and Tim Thomas are pretty good players. Knicks are looking better and better. I have to give...
  4. Get rich slow!

Great thread. I recently started to think about this, and this thread helps a lot. Thanks.

Anyone else remember Earl Boykins (unintentionally, probably) hitting Yao in the stomach? Classic David and Goliath.

Holy Crap. Newspapers from yesterday are selling up to $100 online! All of them stating: "History in the making!" Crazy stuff. Anyone else noticed?

Sweet! Knicks won their opener. Six in double figures. Being a Knicks fan, I was really unsure of the result of the game. 120-115? Signature performance of a Mike D'Antoni team where the team with more points has the best defense. Let's see how they do with a few more games under their belt...

Consumer Reports: They basically test stuff out and give out unbiased reports since they don't accept advertisements. They not only test out tangible goods, but services like health care. I've had a subscription for a year, and I plan on keeping it. Men's Health: This magazine is about... well...
  9. Election 2008, United States

I'm voting for Barrack Obama, but that it matters much since he's going to win New York anyway. Here's an interesting article comparing Obama to McCain if anyone's interested. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/24/opinion/24fri1.html?pagewanted=1&_r=1&em

I think the Knicks will definitely improve their record, but I doubt if they're good enough to contend for the playoffs. Mike D'Antoni is a very well respected coach, but he doesn't have a very deep roster that fits his style of play. I am a big Knicks fan, but I think that it'll take at least a...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't get amino acids from plants.
  12. What I want to do before I die

-Retire early. -Own at least 3-5 peices of real estate in prime neighborhoods in order to obtain a healthy cash flow. -Visit at least 3, if not all, of the Top Wonders of the World. -Properly raise 2 sons and groom them to be successful. -Be a season ticket NY Knicks holder, and witness them...
  13. Self Discipline

One of the biggest factors of learning in class, I think, is the professor. If the professor makes class interesting or plain not boring, you'll learn a lot more. Go to a ratemyprofessor. com or something. I've used those web sites frequently when I was completing my undergraduate studies, and...

If that happens, Kobe is gonna start bitching again. That's the biggest reason why I don't like him.

Damn, anyone here remember when the East used to be so friggin cut-throat? It's been sad these past years.
  16. Getting fit/in-shape

Push-ups, pullups, dips, chinups, jog if you don't have gym equipment. You can just go to your local park and everything is there. Calisthenics is a really good way of working out. It's convenient, plus you're working with your body weight; not metal weights. One routine I like to employ...

"PALIN: John McCain, in referring to the fundamental of our economy being strong, he was talking to and he was talking about the American workforce. And the American workforce is the greatest in this world, with the ingenuity and the work ethic that is just entrenched in our workforce. That's a...
  18. Election 2008, United States

I've been youtubing Joe Biden, and his speeches/addresses are fiery! An interesting contrast to Obama's approach. The Biden/Palin debate is going to be interesting.
  19. Idea for a Pokemon Wii Game

Wow! This sounds really good. I would definitely get that if it was made. It would be a great innovation to the current handheld RPG games. It sounds a little bit of a mix of the Dungeon games with the traditional RPG games that are available. The idea of capturing the pokemon with the button...

Ginobili actually does better coming off the bench than starting, correct? That's part of the reason why he doesn't start; not just because SA has a strong bench. Regarding the Knicks, I'd like to see what D'antoni can do with the team. It's going to be real interesting to see the style of...
