I'm pleased to see Di Natale miss his penalty. Completely unnecessary to roll off the pitch then roll back on. The game was stop-starty enough as it is without stuff like that too. Glad to see Spain break their June 22nd penalty curse.
  2. The Soccer thread

Well, no Euro 08 miracle tonight. Germany beat Austria 1-0. Very boring match in my opinion. Great free kick by Ballack though.

A lot of them are in the Asia-Oceania or Caribbean area. Lots of independent island nations, as well as other tiny countries. Basically, nations with little footy interest, small population (and in-turn a small talent pool), and teams practically made up of semi-pros and amateurs. Shame really...
  4. New Year's Resolutions

Obtain a job and start to reel in an income (I'm 18 and I've yet to have a job, it's a long overdue change). Fair dos, this was decided upon before New Year's Eve but it still stands as my resolution. Aside from that, I've no "habits" of which I wish to ditch, and so it'll only be that I expect.

Ah, I'm not up-to-date with Serie A (or La Liga for that matter), so I was only going by the UCL statistics, which currently sets them as undefeated at home. With poor San Siro form being the case (and all-round poor domestic form, I looked it up, 12th in Serie A? O.o), probably a different...

Mm, UCL predictions: Celtic - Barcelona Celtic are obvious underdogs here, I'd like to see them make it through but I doubt it. Celtic have great home form, but getting anything away, that'll be tough. Lyon - Manchester United I just think Man U have more quality. As SBC stated above as...
  7. Correct grammar and spelling on the internet

It's quite important to me, although I'm more lenient when it comes to online games and MSN (or other messengers). I really can't stand shorthand slang though. I tolerate it at times but, as snobbish as it may be, I have difficulty respecting the intellect of someone who keeps typing "u", "l8"...
  8. Warstory! Rumpelstiltskin (Who?) vs. Nattyb

Mm, this was a very interesting read just to see the effectiveness of a Transform Smeargle. Wouldn't have expected it to be so effective. Can't judge it on just one battle but I'm quite intrigued by it now.
  9. Would you ever consider dating...

This guy pretty much sums up my stance. Like a couple of people in here, I generally don't find black women attractive (although there have been exceptions), but that is an issue of attraction rather than race.
  10. The Soccer thread

Mm, I did notice there seemed to be a fairly positive reception of the controls from people over at GFAQs and other places, I suppose maybe it takes some practice to get used to and accept. Also, I feel like bringing up the UEFA Champions League. Into the Knockout phase: Porto...
  11. The Soccer thread

Mm, I have it for Wii but didn't get into at all, I found the method of control a bit too gimmicky for my taste. Lack of Manager Mode stopped me playing it any longer, so I went back to FIFA 07 on my PS2, heh.
  12. The Soccer thread

Ugh, can't believe England failed to qualify for Euro 08. Anyway, who I think will win it? Really, whoever out of Group C make it out alive would be my top two favs to go all the way. I'd put Germany as a 3rd choice fav (ahead of Spain, purely because of the aforementioned choking that...
  13. Jealousy

Mm, jealous plenty. Usually of talented people, or pretty people (and people going out with pretty people).
  14. The everyday strangeness in YOU.

Me too here as well, I can't sit "normally" in a chair and be comfortable, but the "L" way or sitting on top of my feet I find to be very comfy. Aside from that, I don't really have noteworthy abnormalities. I have a habit of going to rooms (like the kitchen or my bedroom) and then forget why...
  15. Ititty hand eye coordination

16.7__ on first go. I've seen this before iirc, and iirc the pattern doesn't change so going for it again would probably diminish any value the test has. But yeah, a lil short of the target.
  16. Best Villain

Depending on how we define Villain, Gary from R/B/Y would be my favourite. I don't think I've been more riled up by any other antagonist in the series than by Gary. Out of the those listed out of the poll, it would be Giovanni, more-so because he was an "okay" villain, whilst the others I'd...
  17. Christmas Lists

It's really just money for me. I've got my eye on a lot of JPunk clothes from international sellers, which is where a lot of it would go. Maybe some Ed Alleyne-Johnson CDs as well, since I can't seem to find any torrents for his stuff.
  18. Pokemon that should(n't) have (pre)-evolutions

Yeah, but cooler than Farfetch'd? They'd have their work cut out. Mm, I'd second this, just because I'd love to use a Water/Electric type in OU. I doubt it'd be too ridiculous, considering it's weak to Earthquake and it would likely have "poor-ish" Defence. A bouncy HP stat with a chunky SDef...
  19. Pokemon that should(n't) have (pre)-evolutions

I'm with negator on this one, I think it's a wonderful little piece of Pokémon lore than the most useless and common fish can potentially become a devastating beast with the right amount of patience and care. Part of me wants to say Farfetch'd deserves an evolution, because he is long overdue...
  20. sprite deceivers

Most of the final evo dragons. Sprite wise I'd expect them to tower over the average man, yet Dragonite is only 7'03", Salamence is only 4'11", Flygon is only 6'07" and Garchomp is only 6'03". Not really "towering". It's the same with TTar, who's 6'07". Aggron (6'11"), Rhyperior (7'11") and...
