non STAB Scald on a team that at least partially takes advantage of rain (especially now when rain has a new toy to play with) is still worth it, especially since many would be Dragalge switch ins are either have poor special defense, hate water, or hate burns. The difference between Sludge Wave and Bomb is just 5 BP and 20% Poison chance. But the primary reason to choose wave is because of Bulletproof. With Dragalge, it's primarily spamming STAB Poison so Toxic Plate is a viable option. Especially since both of its STABs have immune types. A great...

Pressure on a defensive mon has its uses. Pressure users usually win over CM/BU wars. Switching in a defensive Pressure user into a Stone Edge or Draco Meteor (that it can shrug off) is a godsend for rock weak or dragon weak team mate. And for the rest of the match the opponent would think twice...

I'm leaning on the opinions I've seen so far saying Alakazite should stay. IDK why HP Ice; it seems like the safest move to use when the enemy has multiple Zam counters: U-Turn teams featuring Hydreigon and Crobat for example (not the best example). I'm not exactly sure what Shadow Ball is...

Only Mega Aero can provide the offensive presence and speed to deter Zam/Megazam from getting a free switch-in on the predicted Defog. Versus LO Zam with Psyshock, Dazzling Gleam, Focus Blast, and Hidden Power Ice, Gligar and Alakazam 2HKO each other but the latter is faster. With Empoleon, it...

I used to run a Offensive Defog Moxie Honchkrow (Brave Bird, Sucker Punch, Defog, Roost like this). 2 months ago I found it illegal on PS, and with a bit of Bulbapedia it was actually illegal in the first place. I'm looking for a good substitute, and so far Flygon, RIP Togekiss, and Crobat have...

I was assuming Naive LO NP/CC/Fire Blast/Grass Knot was the set Not exactly ideal (or sure), but some important benchmarks 136 Atk EVs always OHKOs Blissey (and Umbreon with rocks), since any form of Status from them would be terrible for ape. 76 Atk can OHKO both with rocks 232 Spe EVs still...

Before I posted question I used to run 4 Atk 252 SpA 252 Spe with a Speed oriented nature, with Earth Power, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, and either Sludge Wave or Poison Jab, depending on how what Poison coverage moves I already had on teammates. According to the answers so far, a better mixed set...

How well does Infiltrator Chandelure deal with the most common Baton Pass teams? Clear Smog feels niche as a fourth move, but Fire/Ghost/Grass seems good enough as coverage. Clear Smog Amoongus is clearly superior, but being weak to a mildly boosted Espeon lets it down somewhat, since it cannot...

Florges is an important example because Calm Mind Florges (whose typing easily forces switches to boost) at +1/+1 can easily survive Sludge Wave even with prior damage and easily OHKO Nidoking with Psychic. Is there a good partner for DD Haxorus that can lure out Scarf Hydreigon and use Knock Off? Cofagrigus seems good but doesn't suit the rest of the team. Zoroark disguised as Haxorus is also good, but dies immediately to the incoming U-Turn.

The guarantee to getting to move first was way more important than I anticipated, on something as fast as Tornadus (gets the +Def before the incoming attack, ensures survival on the turn Rest is needed). The critical hit from Stone Edge is still fatal if Tornadus can't PP stall it out...

Phazing has become much more difficult to abuse due to defog removing all that potential damage from stealth rock and spikes. The Nidos and Roserade are so common that toxic spikes have lost a lot of merit with them still alive.
