For checking IVs, I have a lot of Rare Candies from the online GTS website (that sends the red NPC in-game) and I just save before spamming them on a Pokémon. I check the IVs at 50, 60, 70, etc. (if it isn't determined by 50) and then Right+Left+SEL to restart. That way, I keep the rare candies...

No, I use "make" and "breed" interchangeably. I usually do double kinds of Pokémon I like i.e. Tropius. You can check out LeopardTalon's thread where I requested one of his Dream Ball HA Tropius ☺ Also, initial question clearly references breeding.

Just wondering - since it's not on Smogon's PokéDEX - what the best nature would be for a Chlorophyll Tropius. I don't battle, but its stats and movepool are pretty spread out with a slight SP. ATK bias. Would it be better to go Timid to match the ability, or would Calm be better for more SP...
