    Battle Spot Singles Viability Rankings

Have been running Mega Mawile since the very start of my ranked ladder on cart on all types of teams, including Trick Room Mega Mawile (oh the horror) and can give my thoughts on the matter. I always run mine with Knock Off, because it is devastating on a switch in and can often just outright...

Mega-Mawile can tear through both of those in an instant, so I'd watch out for that. If I were you i'd bring in Heatran, as it's a great partner with M-gardevoir. Garchomp fits nicely and is a great overall threat, that could be a decent 3core for you. I'd stick with offensive m-gengar, to...

Even worse is when you KNOW you can OHKO the fucker, but in doing so risks taking away the only god damn decent coverage move you have, making it practically worthless for 3 turns. You're forced to use a crap move first and then it switches into a mon that resists that crap move and you cry...

If I'm being brutally honest, you just need to play and learn. You could spend a lot of time (far too much time in my case ¬__¬) creating a team but until you actually start playing with it regularly you're not going to understand your strengths and weaknesses. For now, just go with what you've...

Would it not be best to use an offensive chomp (which is most certainly its strong point in Battle Spot Singles) and have an alternative mon to switch into to counter the mons you're having problems with? Rocky Helmet Gyarados (Physical bulky gyarados spread with RestTalk) for example works...

That's a nice build. I have previously tried out the lucario/dragonite/hippowdon core and it works really well. However, the Lucario moveset I used I found to be more successful simply due to the fact that people love to bring in Aegislash against you and wall you. I ended up replacing...

Aye I thought as much. I like the idea of blaziken, another mon that could sweep on its own if not checked. I'm going to try and test between blaziken/salamence and see which I prefer. Thanks.

Ah I hadn't thought of Sitrus berry. I think that's a much better idea on Rotom-W, as the only time leftovers wins is if I also have it working in tandem with Leech seed and that is usually a rare situation. I think replacing painsplit with thunderbolt is definitely a decent option (especially...

Adding on to NOVED's post, it's a serious mind game pokemon. There's a lot of viable (both mega and non-mega) builds for it and while you may be fine to counter/check one of them, the other may leave you hanging. This is probably why it's so widely used.

Hi. I've been lurking Smogon for a few months now but decided to sign up and join in the discussion. I've currently got a team I'm doing rather well with but could do with some advice concerning a few things, plus it's always nice to get helpful feedback from more experienced players. I've...
