  1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl Discussion #2 (spoilers)

Posting out of nowhere to say Helllllllll Yeaaaahhhhh! And now I'm gone again!
  2. What is the hardest Video Game you have ever played?

Solomon's Key. Holy crap, go to hell you damn game.
  3. A new take on Red Steel (Scizor Discussion)

Scizor has the strongest U-Turn in the game and it takes neutral damage from Stealth Rock, so it's not exactly a bad idea.
  4. How do you kill this? Rhyperior Discussion.

This is just playing the counter-theory game, but one thing Empoleon is VERY good at is dealing with those sorts of Pokemon, as it gets Grass Knot to take out bulky waters and ice beam/drill peck to take out the rest.
  5. Anti-Blissey Special Attackers

Kingdra is another possibility, in that it has basically a 6.25% chance of beating Blissey, but it's more or less consistent throughout the game. A critical hit Draco Meteor WILL ruin Blissey's day.
  6. How do you kill this? Rhyperior Discussion.

Isn't the point of PorygonZ that Blissey CAN'T wall it, or has much grief trying to wall it?
  7. Drain Bamage: Rampardos Discussion

Mold Breaker works regardless of who comes in when.
  8. Underrated fire Pokemon

It's not like Infernape isn't taking any damage either, though. You're telling me that coming in on attack, taking 25% damage from Stealth Rock, but intimidating the opponent and having 90 base HP with 80 base defense means you take equal or more damage compared to 12.5% from Stealth Rock, 76...
  9. Underrated fire Pokemon

I would say that, yeah, a few less defensive weaknesses and Intimidate ARE valid reasons to use Arcanine over Infernape. What it boils down to is that Arcanine can switch in on more things, while Infernape has trouble doing so without getting mauled by something nasty. Combine this with the...
  10. Stuff that's wrong with D/P

Levels still matter if you're battling over local wireless and not long distance over wi-fi, so there's still a reason to level your pokemon to 100, especially if you're looking to do 4-player double battles, which are also exclusive to local wireless.
  11. DP Research Thread #1 ("Old")

This feels like RBY Mewtwo all over again in the sense that "Arceus can counter all of its counters" and "No true counters exist," only magnified because there are absolutely no universal Arceus strategies to get it into a position where your attacks are even super effective.
  12. DP Research Thread #1 ("Old")

Today in Victory Road, an enemy trainer's Medicham tried to Hi Jump Kick my Empoleon, but missed, and the damage from crashing was so bad it took out half of Medicham's HP (resulting in a KO). Was there just a huge HP disparity or does hi jump kick come with even greater strings attached now...
  13. DP Research Thread #1 ("Old")

Someone is claiming that Light Ball does not double attack. TRE, could you retest to verify, to make sure it's not a fluke or anything? Could someone with an english version also test to verify?
  14. The Forgotten Turtle - Blastoise Discussion

I'm interested in Aqua Ring Blastoise. It's a reasonably tankish Pokemon, and the Aqua Ring boost + Leftovers could be nice. Might also help it out when dealing with the damaging effects of Sandstream.
  15. Bloated? Need Tums? [Qwilfish Dicussion]

I'm a big fan of the Icy Wind/Destiny Bond combo. None of that pesky 25% paralysis chance, and people don't quite switch out of Icy Wind the way they do with Thunder Wave.
  16. The New "hax items" Thread

They are VERY much the same thing, and you're only looking at it through the lens (no pun intended) of "I WANT MY ATTACKS TO HIT MORE OFTEN" and not the idea of raising and lowering probability.
  17. Wobbuffet discussion

A CB Dragonite Outrage however CAN 2hko Wobbuffet. And you'd be locked in the move anyway so encore woul be kind of pointless. There's always the danger of counter, but hey.
  18. Guys, it's Abomasnow and this is a discussion about it

If anything, I would use Rest without Sleep Talk. At some point, the point for Abomasnow is to just come in and cancel other weather effects. Awake or asleep, it can accomplish that task.
  19. Kingdra Discussion

It deeply saddens me to see everyone so focused on Swift Swim but not Sniper when constructing movesets. Sad indeed.
