Got permission from Finch to post this here I recently posted a tournament for a solomod in https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/hax-meters-playtest-tournament-20-prize.3767428/ The metagame is similar to OU, with reduced luck. What do OU players think of a metagame like this?

I think it should be fairly obvious that changing all of a Pokémon’s attacks to be the higher of its atk or special atk would make the metagame more offensive, not less. Like you were saying, Pokémon that actually want to be mixed attackers are hard to find

Not going to push my idea, but isn’t forcing physical or special moves a big difference? Generally, physical only and special only walls would be bad in Full Potential. For example, Skarmory can wall Dragagpult’s dragon darts but not its Shadow Ball. Whereas if Dragapult was locked in to be...

Shadow ball still targets special defense and poltergeist targets defense in Full Potential. In my metagame, for each Pokémon, all moves become special or physical.

In Full Potential, the physical/special split is kept.

It helps a lot of offensive mons. I get that it’s not a novel idea but it’s definitely less random than Bad and Boosted. Yes, self-stat lowering moves must lower the relevant attack stat or they would be broken.

Metagame: Mixed Attacker All moves for each Pokémon will be physical if it's attack is higher than special attack, and special for the opposite case. Maybe no change if they are equal.

I mean, it's possible that Urshifu would be balanced without Wicked Blow, depending on what other dark moves it has.

Is there a reason someone changed the title from "Move" to "Add Another"? Do we need a section at the bottom if it is already at the top?

Also, double team and minimize can be unbanned. I'm not aware of any metagame that does that.

Well, for example, you can safely switch to mons that only fear a scald burn when their secondary effect meter is less than 70. It's a risk in standard metagames. Then when their meter is 70 or above, if you predict scald, you can switch to specific mons to take the burn and use up their meter...
