Usually I just lead Excadrill / Tyranitar and go for double targeting moves. It’s annoying, but flinch hacks work more than you would think honestly. It is also possible to play through the Trick Room, which sucks, but it’s possible to do with the correct predictions and using Dynamax correctly...

Yeah, I’m a VGC player, so I probably wouldn’t be able to help too much. When I get home, if you want, I can try to make your team more viable in doubles. For singles, I haven’t played at all in Gen 8, so I can’t really help since I don’t know the current meta that well, sorry.

I believe he meant Giga Drain, it’s pretty commonly used on Polteageist in VGC. If you find yourself using Protect a lot though, it’s not necessarily, it just helps with survivability + coverage.

Agreed, item wise I would also switch out the Aguav Berry you’re currently using with an Occa Berry. It allows getting a Tailwind up so much easier early game (without being threatened by Arcanine). It’s also just super useful overall and a lot less situational compared to what you have right...

Ayy, I’m glad you’re enjoying the Corviknight set as much as I do. As for Gastrodon, I think it’s a super solid mon (especially with the Icy Wind you’re running since no one really expects it) and it will definitely benefit your team a lot.
