Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Would Acid Armor make sense with Weak Armor? Would being slow be a detriment or could it pull off a type of sweep? Maybe it's simply redundant with Autotomize being available?
I'm not exactly sure whether it should be banned or not(haven't played with it or against it), but there are a few arguments that don't hold much weight:
1. Saying Inconsistent makes "sucky" pokemon broken- If you take other things away from other pokemon, they'd suck too. This isn't 4th gen...
Bulbapedia lists this ability as increasing a stat by 2 levels, and decreasing a stat by 1 level. Serebii, Veekun, and Marriland list it as increasing a stat by 1 level, and decreasing a stat by 1 level.
So what about Bulbapedia now?
Yeah that's what I would've thought, but I guess I didn't hear any discussion on it actually being banned. With that being said, there's a history of leaving luck-based things unbanned if the likelihood that they proc is small.
Let's pretend for a moment that there was no chance of an evasion...
I thought the idea of much of the metagame is that you had to have certain things in your team that counter the popular stuff. I've run all ice teams for the fun of it(not on Shoddy, but against other people using standard rules), and Stealth Rock/Scizor wreak me. So your argument that something...
Or maybe just takes the shards and swings them at enemies.. In a way it makes more sense than before Shell Break, because when you look at Cloyster's picture you don't see any blades lol.
Bologo, if you don't want to come on and answer any more questions, then don't. My questions weren't directed at you specifically but anyone who can answer them.
Massive improvement for Cloyster over DPP, probably the ice-type pokemon that has gained the most. Considering it now takes out many...
What I was originally gonna do was go Adamant and use Shell Blade instead of Hydro Pump on the Shell Break set. However, after considering the usefulness of Hydro Pump, having a Naughty nature and putting Hydro Pump on there does seem a lot better. I'm going to try it out, thanks!
It doesn't seem like a complete counter, though I may be wrong.. Ice Beam is a 4 hit KO after a Light Screen, and in many circumstances Bounce is a 4 hit KO after Reflect. You could be really risky and go for a 3 hit KO with Focus Blast, or you could just take the damage and switch out to...
Does anyone think a set with Giga Drain/Focus Blast/Light Screen/Reflect with a Big Root would work? Would a Big Root even be worth it, or would something like Rugged Helmet/Leftovers make more sense?
Yes, I get that you're aiming for steels largely and they tend to be physical walls, it's just tricky. Does it have downsides over non-physical walls, type coverage wise?
