That would be worth testing. RestTalk sets have always made me uneasy (except for in gen 2) just because there is a 33% chance you'll fail due to rest, but that's just my personal opinion.

Cute charm is a nice little boost that Sylveon gets, but to be honest it's not dependable enough to really even discuss competitively. That being said, it will be hilarious to watch someone get cute charmed to death.

As per the question of getting Wish, it does require a chain breeding. You have to get Wish onto either a Pikachu or Skitty. As per the comments on the defensive investment, I'll definitely put some testing into it when Showdown gets updated some more. I can see argument for going either way...

For a tank though, it's speed is passable. I mean it won't strike first, but it will strike. It's speed will definitely be interesting for VGC, though.

I did mention that the EV's can be shifted into Defense.

From my perspective, it looks like they were more worried about balancing the VGC meta. Sylveon's lower speed will definitely be useful there.

That could come down to movepool. Until movepools are totally figured out there's no saying what's going to be more useful. Cute Charm is more useful than Flower Veil, though that's too gimmicky to rely on.

My thoughts exactly. I'm waiting for confirmation on Calm Mind being part of his arsenal, and I could potentially see this as a good SubCM user. Lack of instant recovery (that we know of) is somewhat saddening, however, or it could almost act as a reuniclus with a better STAB.

I don't think it will be particularly useful for Sylveon, perhaps on a physical attacker. Thank you, fixed. HP Ground can give good coverage, but I believe (I could be wrong) that due to the ghost/steel nerf that this is actually better type coverage. Added.

I realize that Breloom's main attribute is access to Spore, but would a CB set be viable at all? I mean, that could be way off basis, but CB Mach Punch actually would hit with the exact same power as Scizor's Bullet Punch.
