    No, I'm missing Rotom (seeing them, don't own them all). But I read that I only needed to have seen 150 to get the national dex.

    I don't see why you wouldn't be allowed to have a second one. You could lend it to someone you trust to hold for you if you want to be 100% sure. Does any status effect work better than another for catching purposes. Example, is it easier to catch a sleeping pokemon than a paralyzed one?

    Two uber noob questions. 1.- Do I get EVs for catching a Pokemon? 2.- If so, will a Pokemon get them if he fought the caught pokemon, but fainted before it was caught? I want to use Uxie to help me catch Mesprit, but I don't want him to get any EVs.
