  1. np: UU Stage 3 - We Are The Champions

alakazam usage is really picking up. its everywhere and for a good reason. it's one of the best revenge killers and sweepers in the tier.

  3. Bread with Two Sides of Ghost

Introduction Today's specials: Entry hazards, entry hazards, and even more entry hazards. More than anything else, the UU metagame is dominated by spikes and rocks. Seeing spinners on almost every team? You better have one too if you hope to compete on even footing. Not only is it...
  4. Smogon University PO Statistics — June 2011

Lilligant is fantastic late game sweeper on non-weather teams. It really doesn't need sun support with access to Quiver Dance. Confusion-free Petal Dances will wreck a lot of things in the UU scene.
  5. np: UU Suspect Test Round 2 - Cold As Ice

I've been using lilligant to much success, but I am having trouble deciding which hidden power to choose. Grass is resisted by bug, dragon, fire, flying, grass, steel, poison (quite a lot haha). The four feasible Hidden Powers each have 3 supereffective type coverages against grass resists...
  6. Smogon University PO Statistics — June 2011

People need to use lilligant more. Can't believe its below things like charizard...

Is there a gen v teambuilding weakness chart like the one on marriland that I don't have to download? http://pokemon.marriland.com/team_builder
  8. Welcome To OU...Lite?

Just some quick thoughts. I feel like registeel's spot is kind of wasted especially with a great special tank in snorlax. Many of your pokemon already resist grass, toxic can be taken easily by roserade and snorlax can always rest it off, and outrages aren't common at all in UU. stealth rock...
  9. np: UU Suspect Test Round 2 - Cold As Ice

They did. In fact I think we get the results tomorrow.
  10. Ask a Simple Question, Get a Simple Answer - Read FAQ in First Post Before Asking

Why are the items 'ring target' and 'absorb bulb' unavailable in the PO smogon server?
  11. Sceptile

I feel like any physical Sceptile set should incorporate SD. It's just too weak otherwise and if you incorporate fling it sacrifices coverage.
  12. np: UU Suspect Test Round 2 - Cold As Ice

I've been using a scarfed trick deoxys-d and no one ever expects it. It's been superb especially against trick leads or to just set up spikes by taking advantage of its bulkiness. I will also almost always set up at least 1 layer of spikes as long as the lead taunter isn't crobat or aerodactyl.
  13. np: UU Suspect Test Round 2 - Cold As Ice

It's getting a little wearisome to see donphan or hitmontop on almost every single team. At the same time, I find myself forced to run a rapid spinner and those are undoubtedly the best.
  14. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 4 - Blaze of Glory

So you say the biggest threats in drizzle are water, electric, and flying type moves. Most pokemon will not be carrying all of these moves. Likewise why are you trying to pigeon hole anti-weather counters to a single pokemon like Lanturn? We have 6 slots. Use them. And you know whats great...
  15. Would you still play in Smogon's OU Metagame if Stealth Rock was banned?

Gen IV was dominated by dragon steel because dragon was by far the single best attacking type which of course necessitated its only resist: steel types. This dominance was not through a lack of "counters" to dragons and steels individually. Steels are weak against the two most common physical...
  16. It Ends Here (Peaked #38 on the UU Ladder)

Just some suggestions. You don't really have much entry hazards. On Empoleon you might want to knock off over roar. Nabbing Chansey on the switch is one of the most satisfying things ever but of course the trade off is that it leaves you more vulnerable to smashpassing. You'll want reckless on...
  17. Staraptor

to everyone complaining about smashpassing: zapdos is a beast this metagame. I use the standard physically defensive zapdos with roar, heatwave, thunderbolt, and roost. It walls a ton of physically threats, threatens many pokemon, and is especially useful on a spike stacking team. Hp ice is...
  18. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

All this talk of Gorebyss made me curious. A GREAT recipient for the baton pass no one really mentioned that I found is Nidoking. Reasonably bulky, resists fighting priority, immune to toxic and t-wave which can free it up to use an item other than lum berry, and awesome coverage on both the...
