Yo! I haven't been very active on Smogon lately, mainly because I am waiting for Shoddy Battle 2 and the english version of B/W... How are things going here? Did I miss anything? P.S.: Gratz for the 300th post.
  2. Torterra

Torterra was already able to learn both Amnesia and Superpower in Gen IV through breeding. Ground Leveling (aka Level Ground) is totally outclassed by Earthquake as the chance of decreasing the opponent's Speed doesn't make up the loss of power. Wide Guard is useful only when used in double...
  3. Dugtrio

It's true that the number of Choiced Pokés with Volt Charge will be pretty huge, especially in the lower tiers, but since Gen IV came out Dugtrio has been the only reason why no one should spam choiced Electric type moves everywhere before scouting opposing Pokémon. Just a little nitpick: Did...
  4. Dugtrio

@Wynought: That set may look good on paper but the only real opportunity it has to set up is a choiced Electric move as even walls with a support role carry STAB and Seismic Toss. Dugtrio is a good trapper and revenge killer, that's the only thing it can do decently.
  5. Cobalion

Thanks for the comments guys. I updated the OP and mentioned Sacred Sword as an option for the SD set. @Volcano: I've thought about Rock Polish set too but I realized it really lacks power due to Kobaruon's mediocre base 90 Attack. Anyway I'd put Swords Dance on the last slot even if it...
  6. Cobalion

@storm: Stone Edge covers some particular Pokés but Iron Head is definately the best option once you've weakened them so yeah... @ozzy: Thanks for the nitpick.
  7. Zebstrika

@Blasphemy1: Thanks for answering to GtM, I was about to say the same thing. I know that Rechargeable Battery is generally outclassed by Life Orb infact I mentioned it only in the OP as an item that may work if other members of the team lure Electric type Attacks. Zeburaika won't be a top tier...
  8. Politoed

Yeah except for one little detail: The opponent sends out Politoed against a Pokémon that can't threaten it, you switch in Tyranitar: 1) If you are faster than Politoed you are Scarfed = Politoed can switch out or stay in. If it stays in it can take a Stone Edge (it doesn't OHKO) and OHKO you...
  9. Zebstrika

Thanks for the comments guys, to be honest I didn't know about Rechargeable Battery existence. Anyway there's no point in making a new set, I'll simply mention it in the Other Option section.
  10. Politoed

Apparently you don't understand that politoed comes in, uses Focus Blast (to OHKO Tyranitar) or Hypnosis against a counter and immediatly switches out. You don't have to be a genius to understand that. Lets say you switch in Tyranitar while I switch in Kingdra (or a similar Poké), you have to...
  11. Politoed

What are you talking about dude? Tyranitar switches in Kabutops/Qwilfish Waterfall and gets OHKOed or Ludicolo/Kingdra Surf and gets 2HKOed (69% - 82.5% to offensive sets). You don't want to switch in Tyranitar? You lose another Pokémon anyway.. yeah... good job Tyranitar... And AGAIN...
  12. Politoed

What !? Nattorei is able to take those moves but not boosted Surf and Waterfall. Ludicolo can destroy your "Nattorei+Bunnekurru" (which btw is called Burungero) combo and it is not the only one... how do they handle a +2 Kabutops? Oh, and in case you didn't notice it: NOT EVERY MEMBER OF A RAIN...
  13. Politoed

@Sapphire Birch: Tyranitar doesn't hinder Rain, what are you talking about dude? It can just switch in, take ONE hit and switch out. You lose one Pokémon and the opponent can simply switch in Politoed again, summon infinite Rain and sweep your team. Do you carry Water Absorb Pokémon? How many of...
  14. Politoed

Tell me please how many Surfs and Waterfall can a Tyranitar take from Kingdra, Kabutops, Ludicolo, Qwilfish and many others? You are saying that every OU team must run Tyranitar in order to beat DrizzleToed based teams and that once it is KOed it's gg for you. Yeah...Politoed is going to be BL...
  15. Politoed

I completely agree with what -0² said. Are you serious? Almost every sweeper can be "revenge killed by Ditto", the main thing is that Ditto is the most predictable Pokémon ever: Does an opposing Ditto switch in against you Weavile to revenge kill with Brick Break? Or against you Kingdra to...
  16. Zebstrika

@Blaziken Fan: Return on the CB Set is still the preferred option. You should consider that Return deals more damage (just a bit) to Grass and Bug types while Thunderbolt deals a lot more damage against Steel and Ice types compared to Nitro Charge. The Fire move is decent only because of the...
  17. Zebstrika

Thanks for the comments guys. I just added a small "Other Options" section, anything else to suggest?
  18. Zebstrika

@Rykard and mudkipmanxp5: I chose Lighting Rod because of the Attack boost. I know Herbivore is a very good option but (as I already wrote in the OP) I am not 100% sure if it grants immunity to Grass type moves. I don't really like that paraflinching set because it isn't powerful enough and is...
  19. Whew, I just finished posting another Pokémon analysis thread. Zeebraaa rules! ;)

  20. Zebstrika

#523 Zeburaika -- The electric Zebra is one of the coolest Pokémon that B/W brought us. With an awesome base 116 Speed it is faster than most Pokémon and thanks to a decent base 100 Attack it is also able to hit quite hard. Offensively speaking Electric type is one of the best in the game but...
