What is the best counter-play people have found to the CTC-Blimax Kyurem team? Is it just HO? People love to say “get hazards up” but against Ace+Corv is pretty hard to keep rocks on the opponents side.

I know it’s not getting banned, so this is screaming into the void. But since I just lost another game to a Kyurem freeze: it is a damn stain on this already troubled gen that that Mon is still in the tier.

Do you have issues with Gambit if Corv gets overwhelmed? I find if the opponent has strong multiple physical attackers it can get tough to handle, especially after Tera.

Does anyone have bulky teams like this? I find a lot of people talk about them but I never see them on the ladder and they feel very difficult to build properly.

Very fun team to use! My only issue is mid ladder there are so many UU/RU mons mid ladder they can be frustrating to deal with. If I see Volcanion, I have to Tera ting Lu right away.

I of course don’t mean fresh players. Ausma mentioned players in the 1600-1750 range. I think that range probably has a decent understanding of the meta. I’m in that range and definitely don’t even have a chance at reqs now.

Thanks. While I understand there was a large group calling for harder reqs, I wish Ausma was listened to more. Newer/inexperienced players really don’t have an avenue to attempt reqs.

Where can I read about why suspect reqs were made harder? I’ve seen the post annoying the change, but not the discussion leading up to it.

No offense I don’t think you’re Kyurem comment is saying anything. “Without an item the Mon isn’t as good.” Is kind of a weak counter argument. I think the arguments you were referring to were talking about Kyurem’s set variety and how making the wrong switch could result in an auto lose...

Idk about anyone else. I don’t think there’s anything particularly wrong with the meta but I haven’t enjoyed it in a very long time. I know Finch likes to say “oh look Araquanid instead of Ribombee, the meta is always changing” but just a different webs setter seems like the same boring...

Do you slightly blame yourself for the Kyurem DNB? IMO that was the death knell for this gen.

Where are people at with the issue of threat saturation? It seemed like it was something the council was concerned about and then dropped. But honestly the gen feels tougher than ever to plan for and incredibly frustrating to build with because of everything you have to be ready for.

I think you underestimate the positive effect a Tera blast would have. I think it would really reinvigorate the meta. Volc and Elecki (and possibly Espathra but who cares) could both come back. It would add another spinner + Swiss Army knife Mon back into the metagame and it would take away some...
