Other Discussion: Which Pokemon will Fairy impact the most?

It's gonna affect things still. Choice Band Outrage was extremely powerful in gen 5, but now it is a terrible idea because of Fairies. To get strong Outrage they'll have to look at a Life Orb, which hurts survivability quite a bit, and with Talonflame running around, that chip damage really...

    Pokémon Avalugg

Indeed, it is useful against special using Pokemons if you really need to kill them. Unboosted physical mons are powerless against the behemoth though. Just for fun : 252+ Atk Rampardos Head Smash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def (custom): 296-350 (75.12 - 88.83%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

    Pokémon Mawile

Pretty much. Or Sucker Punch, it doesn't trigger King's Shield, unlike what showdown would have you believe.

    Pokémon Avalugg

It's other abilities are well worth looking to honestly. Own Tempo is fantastic against Pokemons like Klefki, they allow you to grab a free +2 attack and the poor thing can't do much against you. Foul Play is only gonna scratch, Thunder Wave is a minor problem (still more chance to act than deal...

    Pokémon Avalugg

There's probably something wrong with the calc cause I get this : 4 Atk (custom) Earthquake vs. -1 4 HP / 0 Def Terrakion: 272-320 (83.95 - 98.76%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock Edit : Oh wait no its fine, I forgot fighting resisted rock and not ground, hurr.

    Pokémon Avalugg

252HP/252Def, 4 Sp.Def Impish. Nothing out of the ordinary. Also it can easily take a CC from Mega-Lucario (around 60%, more than enough to tank another physical attacker) then OHKO back with Earthquake (thanks to the -1def from CC)

    Item Assault Vest

This is actually a fantastic idea. Just imagine tricking it on Smeargle, instant shutdown. Opponent is left with a completely useless Pokemon.

    Pokémon Talonflame

This is the spread. 84 Speed EV to Outspeed Jolly Scardrill with Sticky Web support (it can rapid spin it away sure, but if it comes in Talonflame he won't want to do that). Edit : Actually I just checked again, and you need 88 Speed to Outspeed -1 Scarf Excadrill, he falls at 309 rounded...

Normal isn't this OP. It's not Super Effective against everything, only neutral against all but Rock, Steel and Ghost. Sure, nothing resists it but hey, Dragon was almost that way last gen and it wasn't too bad!

    Pokémon Talonflame

I'm using Scoliopede to pass boost to Talonflame, and it works extremely well. A Talonflame that comes in already boosted is EXTREMELY hard to deal with. http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/oubeta-59480571

    Pokémon Avalugg

After playing a while with Avalugg, I can safely say that I TOTALLY see it in OU. Only takes 56% from Heracross's Close Combat for God's sake! And can retaliate with Avalanche for around 71%. This is some crazy bulk right there. http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/oubeta-59589953 Avalugg...

Definitely, might even be prefered to Galvantula for a few reasons. 1. It has Overcoat, so its sash can't be broken by hazards, also protection from powder and stuff is always nice 2. Baton pass and access to Sword Dance and Agility, so after it has done its job it's not dead weight.

    Other Inverse Battles

Avalugg is so goddamn great in this setting. Ice + Steel (Gyro Ball) has almost perfect coverage being only resisted by Fairy, Avalugg also gets Crunch, which is SE on fairies. Ice as a defensive typing is fantastic It has access to Recover and Rapid Spin Avalugg for Inverse OU.

Leavanny 4x resists Bullet Seed, and 2x Resist Arm Thrusts. Sash or no, those attacks aren't too scary for our mantis friend. Obviously Cloyster is a different beast altogether and Icicle Spear can and WILL OHKO. But as you said, Cloyster meeting Leavanny as a lead is probably not gonna happen.

    Pokémon Talonflame

    Scarf T-tar? +2 252+ Atk Sky Plate (custom) Brave Bird vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Tyranitar: 174-204 (50.87 - 59.64%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
