  1. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

I feel the same way. I deal with Latios, Tornelos, Landlos and Thundurus the same way i used to deal with Giratina-O, Latios, Mewtwo, Mixquaza or Dialga in Gen4 Ubers, sacrificing a poke to their too-much-for-OU-to-handle attacks and bringing in a Scarfer to revenge-kill, or Wobbuffet to...

I'm available every day at 17:00 GMT. If this time is inconvenient for you, please tell me your timezone and the hours you are available and i'll figure something out. I'm GMT+2 btw.
  5. Just dOU It! - Round 2

Just checked my opponent's profile and it seems like he was online minutes ago, however he didn't even respond to my latest PM...
  6. Just dOU It! - Round 2

Kael is probably very busy. He hasn't replied to my latest PMs, wasn't online the arranged time to battle, and logs on once every 2-3 days or so. I've been much more active and pushing him a lot to get this done.
  7. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

Screens make any setup sweeper deadly. DD chestoRest Kingdra is much more dangerous than +2/+2 Espeon behind screens. Espeon gets OHKOed by most attacks on the switchin regardless, so what are we talking about?
  8. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

You should have Power Whipped right off the bat. Oh yeah, and never Taunt Deoxys.
  9. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

Just saw Kefka's log, where he let Gorebyss get off two SS BPs, and i have to say, it only happened because he played badly. Why would you Leech Seed with Natt right there? Leech Seed doesn't activate when he KOs your poke, so it's not like it would have helped even if it did hit his receiver...
  10. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

The whole point is: You don't fucking sit around and let your opponent set up. If you know your team cannot take on a +6 Charizard with a Sub up front, don't let it get a Drum and a Sub up. It's the same with Gorebyss BP.
  11. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

Just a random example i came up with, so i don't actually consider it any more... "innovative" than you do, but how the fuck will a poke with 55 base hp and 75 base spD switch in on a MIXED Landlos? And yeah, i know it was terrible, but the point is, you shouldn't let your opponent get 5 free...
  12. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

lol? So you just sit around during these turns? I'd understand it if the strategy caught you by surprise, but if you have realized from team preview your opponent will go for SS pass, then you should be able to deal with it. So, how about this: Turn 1: Player 1's Deoxys-S used Reflect / Player...
  13. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

Garchomp may KO 3-4 pokes, but that's after 5+ turns of setup one shouldn't have allowed. He also cannot come back and repeat the proccess. Latios needs no setup, and can simply switch again in on one of his 6 or so resistances to fire off another DM.
  14. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

D-nite&Mence are cleanly OHKOed by a -2 DM with rocks up, regardless of their EV investment, while 252/0 Gorebyss takes 80%. I find it confusing how much trouble the Gorebyss strategy gives people. If you have a bulky water-type not named Burungeru on your team, slap Roar/DragonTail on it and...
  15. Just dOU It! - Round 2

I PMed kael only a few hours after the thread was put up, and there's still no reply.
  16. Announcement np: ADV Suspect Testing - Lean on Me

^We faced earlier today and you had Roar Zapdos, WW Skarmory, and Screech Flygon lol. No wonder you can deal with BP. @shmashlloyd: you didn't get my point.
  17. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

Thank you for this. Start of turn 8 sxof called Ludicolo back! sxof sent out Gorebyss! The foe's Gyarados used Stone Edge! Gorebyss lost 107 HP! (42% of its health) Rain continues to fall! The foe's Gyarados restored a little HP using its Leftovers! Start of turn 9 Lady bug called...
  18. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

Sure, i'll retract the statement, since you absolutely need to be pointlessly nitpicky. Nearly every pokemon in the game gets the move Roar, so w/e. And Suicune isn't borderline OU. I've personally never seen it, and i've had a lot of battles. Or it could be on every other battle i didn't play...
  19. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

Regardless, you don't prepare your team for low-usage pokes. Suicune in OU last gen used HP electric for Gyarados, not HP Grass for Quagsire - although Quagsire is very useful in OU. In short, a Gorebyss user would prepare for Roar Vaporeon, not Roar Empoleon (by preparing for the first you...
  20. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 3 - So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

All water-types with Roar/Haze can deal with Gorebyss, but Vaporeon is the only one with above 1-2% usage. Dragon Tail Gyarados can also phaze, but DT's a rare move on him anyways (most are offensive DD). So yeah, the only phazer that can stop Gorebyss in OU is Vaporeon. The rest are in UU...
