Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Err, Recover on a specs set? Maybe you could run another coverage move, or maybe you could just swap specs for life orb. But then the only move you really need is surf. Also gastrodons defense isn't the greatest so you might want to go for scald, with all those boosts the difference in power is...
Name:
Entry Hazard Counter
General Description:
A Pokemon with the movepool, stats, and abilities to prevent the setup of entry hazards and severely threaten or set up on users of entry hazards.
Justification:
In a metagame so utterly dominated by entry hazards and entry hazard...
I'm not sure if this is part of Smogon already, but if it isn't, is there any way to implement email notifications? I sometimes forget to check my Smogon account if my mind is occupied and miss important stuff, and I think most users would appreciate being able to know what's going on without...
Hey, I'm your tutee for Battling 202 Round 3! How do we keep in contact? I'm kind of unsure about what the protocol for all of this is, but it said on the forum that I'm supposed to contact you first.
In the current metagame, a team with NO fighting resists is at a major disadvantage. Bulk up scrafty wrecks your team badly, as does bulk up conkeldurr. Also rotom-w doesn't resist water 4x, only 2x. To be honest, I don't see what sand is being used for on your team at all, since without a...
If the focus of your team is parashuffling, you might want to switch out Breloom for specially defensive haxrachi (to help spread paralysis to ground types with body slam and flinch sweep with iron head). And since your ideal strategy is paralysis before your sweepers get in, using more...
Looking at your team, I'd say taking down Skarmory is a pretty big priority that you haven't really covered and will be tough to counter effectively unless you've tricked off the Scarf on your Rotom (assuming you're going with that suggestion). You should move to a MixApe set, it'll help you...
Not without some investment in SpDef or HP it won't.
If you're going to persist with Torterra, there is one suggestion I have: to protect you from the likes of Ice Punch Machamp, Ice Fang Hippowdon, Infernape of all varieties, etc., you want something fast that can easily OHKO everything...
Lovely team, just a few problems.
Your team does need SR up, but I think more importantly that it needs to take out Machamp leads that can threaten your team late-game as well as KO irritating sleep leads, and possibly preventing others from getting rocks up. A great lead for this role is LO...
Depends on the Gyarados variant, but to be safe you should max out speed.
Edit: Sorry not max, I'm not sure, but you'll need close to max with a +ve nature, since you'll need to outspeed max speed Jolly Gyarados, so you'll need around 285.
I disagree with the comment about using Flygon to counter Gyara, you'll just end up giving a free turn to your opponent as they switch to their Rock resist, which could mean complete ownage if that happens to be an AgiliGross like your own.
I really like the above Swampert as a Gyara counter...
Nearly every team I've seen recently has a big DDNite weakness, and a MixNite will OHKO Skarmory with Fire Blast, meaning you'll be open to a DDNite sweep with Outrage and Earthquake (everything is OHKOd at +1 except extremely rarely Blissey), though if you manage to keep Skarmory alive you can...
Hey, if you want to stick with that Infernape, I think it makes a lot more sense to put in SD and get rid of Stealth Rock (if you think you'll be able to get that free turn), while using Life Orb instead of the Scarf. I really don't see why you'd waste a Scarfer by giving them Stealth Rock...
