New Devin Townsend albums are amazing. I advise all metalheads to look into Deconstruction and Ghost. Deconstruction is the much heavier album whereas Ghost is very mellow. Both are great albums.

@ Lightning55: -I've thought about using Protect in somewhere, but the Fire STAB helps combat Skarmory. I will experiment with Protect over Blaze Kick and see how the results turn up. -I don't like using ScarfDora. With base 98 speed it is unlikely to outpace major threats in the metagame so...

I would say, as far as metal is concerned, there were definitely great albums to come out this year. My favorite is a tie between "Static Impulse" by James LaBrie and "For Aeons Past" by Solution .45
