  1. Other State of Bulky Waters

I concur, Tentacruel's been a beast for me.
  2. Pokémon Charizard

I think the only arrogant person here is you. Although in my personal opinion, Zard Y is emerging as the bigger threat. Zard X requires one turn of setup, whereas Zard Y wrecks shit from the off.
  3. Other The state of entry hazards for gen 6

Tentacruel's been a boss for me.
  4. Other XY OU Team's Staples post#61

My team is made up of Tyranitar, Garchomp, Gengar, Mega Charizard Y, Tentacruel and Ferrothorn, and has virtually all the XY OU staples mentioned. However, two weaknesses of this team is that none of them have priority moves and none of them carry Knock Off. Can anyone offer a suggestion?
  5. Pokémon Gyarados

I use Ferrothorn and have NEVER failed to beat a Gyarados, and the Mega version has a Grass weakness so is usually OHKO'd by Power Whip
  6. Other Most overhyped or underated aspect this gen so far?

The Mega Zards and Mega Pinsir are definitely underrated, while Aegislash and Talonflame aren't as good as everyone seems to think they are.
  7. Pokémon Gyarados

    Ferrothorn shits on this set.
  8. Pokémon Charizard

how is it weak to rain if you have two weather users in your team + Ferrothorn? The guy is a walking rain counter. Thing is, my team requires a spinblocker, which is why Gengar is there. Entry hazards in my team are not used to stall but to help Garchomp and YZard sweep. And why the Cruel hate...
  9. Pokémon Charizard

I've tested out several spinners, but quite frankly none of them really did the trick except Cruel. Excadrill and Starmie are worthy mentions, but they were just not bulky enough to be effective for me. As for Cruel, be sure to give him a Bold nature, as his Defence is low. Other than that, I...
  10. Pokémon Charizard

After much shuffling and testing, I have settled on a team of: ZardY, Tyranitar, Garchomp, Gengar, Tentacruel and Ferrothorn - and the results have been excellent (within top 500 of PO). I highly recommend Tentacruel as a Rapid Spinner for Zard.
  11. Pokémon Charizard

That set would be walled by any bulky Water-type. Yzard NEEDS Solarbeam.
  12. Pokémon Charizard

Silly me, forgot that YZard can't Dragon Dance. Oh wait...
  13. Other Most Improved Pokemon

Charizard, Mawile, Galvantula, Scolipede, Pinsir. Also, can I just say that I have barely seen any Scizors in the Gen 6 Alpha metagame - Aegislash seems to have taken his place instead
  14. Other Good Cores

a FWG core of Char-Y, Tentacruel and Ferrothorn does the trick for me
  15. Pokémon Charizard

I think both Char's are good, but I personally prefer Charizard Y for aesthetic reasons and for his monstrous Sp Atk; not to mention the fact that he can viably run Solarbeam without charge time and because Charizard X will still be switched in to 4x SR weakness anyway. And yes, Ground attacks...
  16. Empoleon (Analysis)

OK then, so I guess my Empoleon is more of a lead than an anti-lead, since he is meant to be defensive, rather than offensive. I find him to be a particularly effective lead due to his relatively few weaknesses. I did not find Grass Knot useful much since common annoying leads such as Politoed...
  17. Empoleon (Analysis)

Empoleon You misunderstood me, Aerodactyl Legend. First of all, I disagree with you that anti-leads are not effective anymore. Secondly, I HAVE taken a look at the forums. This was not an attempt at an entire Empoleon analysis, it was just a suggestion on my part and another opinion. I just...
  18. Empoleon (Analysis)

Air Balloon Empoleon I would just like to give my opinion regarding 5th Gen Empoleon. I run an Air Balloon Empoleon as an anti-lead, and he's very effective. I gave him a Relaxed nature with no EVs on Speed and the rest of the EVs are reasonably spread out. Tell me what you think of this set...
